If they're now providing proper food that's fair enough, otherwise we'll be bunking to Tesco and munching in the car ;)

I have 10% discount at Tesco. Combine that with meal deal n it's £2.25 per head. I'll bring a blanket-we can picnic in the car park!?

Yeah now the bar is up and running they have a policy to not bring your own food in or eat in the carpark or in your cars.

The food at Maelstrom is top notch though.

Just your use of "or".. are you saying that maelstrom go round checking people aren't eating in their cars?

In that the food is top notch, does that mean there is a menu we may order from throughout the day?
I'm not a great foody person, but watching chef boss bloke mocking LH for daring to ask for a little of both fillings for his baked potato..did put me in a mind of a certain musical involving orphans in workhouses.

Sadly not. I did look at it briefly but it's behind Malifaux and Freebooter's Fate in my list of things to pick up. Would be interested in seeing it in action though as I hear good things about how balanced it is.

I understand malifuex and warmachine.. Ljundhammer is well up for games of those..
I found they sucked giant cancerous donkey balls.. but thats just me :D

I can bring dominion again (I have many several of the expansions if bara wanted to see what that meant), could bring bloodbowl current ruleset(but note games take just as long as a tabletop battle).
If someone else brings space hulk I love the 1st ed ruleset, same with the mantic psuedo space hulk.
If I'm able to sell off a few more things I may buy a copy of thunderstone.. thats pretty sweet (although a rerelease/ver2 is due out this summer if I can wait) http://boardgamegeek.com/image/544780/thunderstone Its like dominion but you choose to go on a quest to kill monsters OR go to a village to up your hand. (played a game with all 8 expansions in the other day bit confusing don't think I'll go that far)
MY KOW isn't off a spru yet.

Will the 'roll with it' people also be there on the sunday.. or will we shrink down to tiny again?

On the Sunday what time does it start in the morning? and is there a set finish or can we just turn up and play 1-2 games.

I only ask as it's mothers Day and my wife has possibly given me permission for a bit but she wants to go out later as well for a family outing.

Not sure on how many other Roll With It lot are on about coming down on the Sunday or not yet.

Played mission 2 of the rules pack.. The (secondary objective) keeping tally thing for the killpoints is daft.. and penalises anyone who takes an early lead/promotes last minuteitus (which I thought generally people didn't like).
E.g. Opponent fires a gun volley and some pie plates at my army killing 5 units..,
He goes up to 4 BPs, I got down to 0
My turn I kill 2 of his units, I go up to 2, he comes down to 2.
Yes It makes it a tight game, but tight in a kind of communist oppressive kind of way...Its also a pain in the gameplay arse trying to keep such a skewed tally counted each turn.
We gave up and just used basic annihilation rules.

When it says "up to a maximum of 2 added / 2 substracted BPs." should that have "in any single turn" "phase" added on, or is it a very finite sliding scale?

I'd appreciate anyone explaining why the annihilation ruleset needs such a cumbersome plaster sticking on top.
