I'm a little closer to being ready for next weekend - today a number of models got undercoated, a few of them even got a basic camo as I decided to try a little freehand with cans of spray paint. So I won't be turning up with only gray models :)

i cant see my armies getting any more paint on them now - i doubt there will be time. i do want to add a little black ink to a model i will be bringing just to show (a Servitor that will "count as" a Storm Trooper). the main thing i need to do now though is work out how i am going to transport my IG... (figure case already full :?).

@ Dan: could you do me a teeny favour and print off the trial rules for the FW/IA Imperial Scanner for me? im going to bring that along to, i think.

cheers! :)

Tomorrow I'm intending to get the bulk of the IG undercoated, and then one evening in the week I'll see if I can give them a wash just to make them look less like bare plastic. I've gone through a whole large can of Halfords grey car body primer today, it makes a really good undercoat and has done a great job on all the models so far, I'll have to get another one in the morning.

Yep, I can do that. I've already printed 10 copies of each of the FAQs, although I ran out of staples earlier. Got some more this afternoon, so I'll finish stapling them up in the week.

Anything else anyone needs printing out?

reference sheets might be good (isnt there a 5th ed one on GWs site?), although i still have the army reference sheets you did for me before.

oh, and obvious stuff, like a list of everyone who is coming, and a copy f the info from the Meetup Database (although probably best to leave that until the last day to make sure everyone has a chance to fill it in).

cheers :)

If we knew which formations folks were taking on saturday it might be handy for btoh sides to know what super doomed vehicle XX datasheet does...
But I don't think anyones declared any data sheets yet...I'm tempted (if I don't duck out of it) by the chaos titan (IA apoc) and the chaos annihailation squads (GW download sheet)
I'll bring a spare set of templates and my cardboard hellstrom and apoc barrage ones, If anyone else has a bunch of spares they might get used (WHWs spares are kind of limited)

I'll bring my templates, Apoc and normal (got 2 sets of standard templates, the old clear ones and the new green ones). I'll be bringing along Apoc and Apoc Reloaded, and I've got print outs of all the sheets on the GW site too which I'll put in my paperwork box (printed off about a ream and a half so far ...)

If we're having to declare datasheets, I'd better start now. Up for potential use, depending on who I play against, are: Chaos Warhound, Baneblade (possibly 3), Stormblade, Macharius, Valkyrie (up to 3), Vulture, Thunderbolt, Vampire Raider, Phoenix (x2). And that's just the vehicles, I haven't worked out which formations I might be able to use with the figs I'm bringing :P

Abandoning the idea of finishing the attack bike. Might try and get some objective markers done instead ready for Saturday morning.

Not bringing Necrons any longer - no room! So Marines only.

SPent last night putting about 13 or 14 lists together covering 400CP, 500CP, 1000 and 1500 point armies. Will do the 2000 and 3000 pointers tonight. Trying to theme them to some extent (mass troops, mass fire power, mobile, all rounder etc).

we managed to pack the IG last night (found 2 icecream tubs that were the perfect size), so they will be coming too. thats means we will have the following CP forces between us:
- Tau
- IG
- Plague Zombies ("counts as" Nurgle Daemons)
- Eldar

all i have to pack now is the IG Scanner and Ogryn Body Guard. if anyone wants to use these in an Apoc game, let me know. :)

cheers

We could play a team game... so you and Kate combining 2 of your CP lists against another 2 CP lists/players?

well we are already playing IMF & Choral in a game of mixed doubles, and im using all 4 lists against KMBs 1500 pt FOC-filler.

team games are cool, but i would also like some 1-on-1's too. :)

if you want to kill 2 birds with one stone though you can do so by playing Kate and I at the same time (im sure she wouldnt mind) - you can either find a partner or field 2 x 400 pt UM lists yourself. :)

cheers
