interesting, is this due to all councils using the same supplier.. who announced yesterday he wouldn't meet his contractural agreements? (or am i just s stirring)

If this keeps up there's no way I'll be able to make it. I couldn't even get my car off my drive this morning as the slight hill I live on is like an icerink, had to walk to work. Hopefully it'll stop soon (it's chucking it down with snow at the moment) and it'll clear tomorrow as I'm looking forward to the game.

You know, somehow, I doubt that very much...

We have 4-5" of santa's dandruff here and the temperature is at a bracing 0.

Shoud see Stargod later, see how he's doing.

I got onto the pools panel earlier and they said, in the event of the apoc game being post poned, it will be considered an away win.

After some thought, that must mean that KMB lost us the battle, so thanks for that pal. :angry9

90% of the salt supply for roads in UK is from a single supplier who supply from the UK, they can't dig it out of the ground fast enough at the moment! I can't say I mind that much, I'd rather have a few days of disruption against the cost of holding all that salt in huge warehouses being added to my council tax!

Just got back home - roads aren't too bad at the moment, the snow is currently easing off. If it freezes tonight it should be fun! Buses and taxis appear to be working fine so far...

If the weather forecasts are right that I'm looking at now I'll be there - next batch of snow is due on Sunday, and as I'm only there Sat should be no problems :)

Woke up to heavy snow this morning, but it stopped a couple of hours ago and it's clearing now, forecast looks good and so should be on the road by 8am tomorrow, if the traffic isn't too bad I should be there before opening time. I'll probably be up and check the traffic reports at 7am so if they look busy I'll leave a bit earlier, assuming that Slate is actually awake :P

Sorry guys, we are not going to make it. :x
Conditions are still pretty poor in town, but the motorway isn't too bad.

But the final straw was Stargod took little Stargod to nursery in the car and it died a death.
It's still sitting outside the nursery now.

Was really looking forward to it as well...

Sorry to let you down...
