I think we should go up to maelstrom instead.. (or maybe just on the sunday)
I went there today and its great. Their tables and terrain are as good as if not better than WHW, the staff are great its not like talking to someone thats been indoctrinated, booking events is free, they have a bar and do food, and you can play any game system or use any models.. at the last event I was talking to Herne about maybe having a game of hordes at the next event so for anyone wanting to do something similar maybe for those doing KoW?
anyway I need to go out so gotta cut this short but I think its definately worth some thought.

About time I came to one of these events - looking at my long range calendar, I can make the 5th/6th November date.

Given my taste of Maelstrom Games hall this last weekend - I think this would be a better venue to attend.
Great Tables, we can have an area to ourselves and a cheap late bar, plus love being tempted by all the other manufacturers miniatures on sale - also we could play non-GW games: FoW or KoW anyone?

FoW is for pussies who are too scared to walk around town in full SS uniforms. That's a real man's game!

Anyway, FoW war dollies are too small for men, dainty little lady hands are better for that scale, eh Gav?

Stunty... can you call Maelstrom then and see if we can book tables for that first weekend in November? I'm about to go away for the weekend so will not be able to do it.

If not we can fall back to WHW.

Some games of KoW would be nice :)

Ive had a response from Maelstrom and here are the relevant parts below. We could do with getting a better idea of numbers I think just incase we need more tables. Ive also sent a reply asking to clarify the food situation a bit more.

@DaBoss what was the food situation when you were there?

We would be delighted for you to hold your event here, and yes I can offer space for 20-30 players on the weekend in question.
There is no charge for hire of the gaming room, tables or terrain. food is £7.50 per head per day for the buffet lunch (which has proven to be the tournament favourite). The buffet content varies throughout the year so we will have to talk about that nearer the time, but it is good wholesome food, good quality and plentiful. We would need final numbers a week before.
