This thread is for kmb, ruffian, elvis and WolflordHavoc to discuss their forces for the Apoc game we are playing on the Saturday.

Rules
1. 4 players per side
2. 3000 points per player
3. 0-2 Super Heavies per side
4. 0-1 Flyers per side Elvis will have a THawk

ruffian - Eldar
Elvis - Misbehaving Blood Angels
WLH - Renegade Militia

A silly Question mon amigos, Does anyone want to bring (or use my) damocles.. Its another pie plate.. it helps with reserves coming down and its cheap.. Shout out views (and scream out if I mention any datasheets or bits of kit that we don't know about.) Should Chaos have it or the blood angels or other?

Do the various armies have a deployment zone each, or is it ok to plonk stuff down where you want.
Suppose that means, should we have stand alone armies or go for integration?

Does one armies "freindly units may..." type of wargear function for other freindly armies?

If we have elvis + thunderhawhawhawk, kmb + titan and wlh with stormbladebaneshadow???

As the eldar are so specialised, I see my mob filling whatever roles might be lacking elsewhere, I'll put a list of what I have together for ruminations if you like.

There has to be a synergy to the force.. but normally that is accounted for just by the fact that there is 4000+ point on a side and so each element of the game is represented.I'd suggest take fun stuff. Try to take a core of fast stuff thats not too expensive.. as STRD 7" pie plates will be around and those can just wipe out things that at 1500 points seem invincible.

Deployment zones is a bit tricky you roll a scatter dice and bisect the table along its direction you (as in all us chaos) then have a deployment zone set within a measurement away from that boundary. Normally a rather key part is "how much starts on" effects set up time and who goes first. Also effects infantry who can't move and shoot.Then once how much starts on is answered you then have to second guess how much of your opponents will start on.. so that you bid for deployment setup times (the shortest bid is the player who goes first)
I'd suggest friendly units using each others wargear is treated on a one by one basis quickly asked of our opponents (maybe in their thread).. and as they agree to stuff we agree to similar stuff to them.. and as we say "no way to cheesy" we can expect a likewise response when we ask them something.
The damocles might be a case on point.. would they allow all our armies to beneifit from the reduce in scatter to "teleporting" units (it relays orbital information) or just that armies.
Does a fearless thing that conveys confidence- convey it to all forces around it or just itscloser brothers in battle. etc (Those kind of things could set precedents)

Ok, will start something tonight, probably can do %100 mech/fast so could start without too much on the table.

I have 3 raiders, 4 rhino's, 2 pred annihilators (1 of which is possessed) couple o dreads and a defiler.

Ig wise I have two russes (+2 non gw), a bassie (+1 non gw) and 4 non gw lascannon sentinels.

Well my Renegades can do the ‘cannon fodder holding our objectives’ tasks as well as providing a core of heavy weapons and some vehicles (all my Chimeras have up-armed to Autocannon).

I need to price up a 3000 pt army and I intend to base it around

1 Renegade HQ squad + Chimera
1 Disciples Squad (Veteran Guard!!) + Chimera
1 Renegade Platoon with Command and 3 squads
3 Armored fist Squads
1 Mutant Squad (40 strong)
1 Killgor beastman squad (20 strong)
2 Leman Russ
1 Medusa Sp Howitzer

Any left over points and I will spend them on Khorne Berserkers and a Khorne Berserker Champion

Draft list of KMBs Tzeetch force of 3000 for Apoc game of 12000 a side.

Chaos Warhound Titan 750 points
(found in IA Apocolypse, p99..If you know the imperial scout titan p125 of apoc book..Its exactly the same thing, only chaos ones come with a dirge caster (creatures within 12"s are fearless.. but I'm willing to say that doesn't exist if our opponents wish)

My intial thoughts are to use this rules and model wise wywiwyg but fluffwise to use it as a beacon of tzeentch, that allows horrors to come down as part of his un fathomable plan.. but this relies on opponents saying demons are teleporting.. if they say they don't then I'll donate the damocles to conscripts forces.

then I'm gonna add a LOC or a demon prince (without wings as a gun platform)

Suggested theme Asset for tzeentch=Mirage of Tzeentch (where we control one of their units for a turn).. but its really fragile.. whats the hope of the herald surviving long enough to cast it so tactically I'd advise agaisnt it. p70 apoc reload.-especially as its reveal time contradicts how we've said we'd play.

I was thinking ahriman and then I remembered the FAQ and thought although I've put fluffy first (even spawn), I just can't face the blight that ahriman has become..so he's back in the box not even worth the laugh..

Open to views and honing the blade by my associates and enemies over the next month, I just picked what looked pretty on my shelf as I typed

Keep the dirge caster on the Warhound.

Roll a D6 at the start of the game, on a 4+, the daemons can use the Damocles and if not, Elvis gets it

Btw, I'm still fine with the eldar, but it occurred to me that I have never taken my chaos bike armada before.
2x5 undivided, 2x5 khorne, with champs and 2xic's.

Anybody fancy that???

Well its only going to be 1000 or so of your points (+ ICs) maybe your eldar have been pushed so far by self hatred (after making slanesh) that khorne has tapped into their souls and has convinced them to work with Khorne. (They'll be fairly safe as long as they turboboost on from reserve.. or something hmm..see what the others think)
If there is a concerted khorne effort there are 3 -4 really funny datasheets for defilers that might be worth a gander depending on how folks feel and how many left over points we can scrape together.

Oh I've removed one rhino from my list (duplication too many rhinos for units) which means I should be able to fit a C:D demon prince and a C:CSM demon prince in.. maybe..
