I think that's the one BDA had on his formation last time which upset KMB so much. It did seem a little overpowered if it is that one.

Yeah, I think so (and rightly so too).
It allows an army to be picked up and plonked down where ever...
What say we ditch that???

Possibly, but there are plenty of things that we could argue over.
Maybe flank march from the flanks and not any table edge (I'm not too much of a fan of things you have little or no response to)???
Or are we going against the nature of the beast with talk like that???

How about we modify Flank March to work like 5th ed outflanking? Makes it sides only and a little random.

One of the formations I was taking gave me Flank March and I'm happy to play it like Outflanking.

On scoring-In a world where big shooty titan super dooms exist I think its kind of charming if we try to protect our little gaunts etc..
Example a warlord battle titan 15 foot high.. has his right foot pinky toe within range of an objective.. is he doing it delibrately..is he saying no one shall stand next to my pinky..or is he just stomping around killing stuff... tactical squads/ troops... the meat for the grinder, they are the ones who have to get the job done,they are the ones that hold the ground whilst Fancypants Mcgurk and his albino infiltrating breathren go off after ICs sleeping in their bunks.
Also list balances..(like the 0-X cap on superheavies.. yes you do have to have 2x3 jetbikes or you can't win the game etc ) I'm tempted by a storm and some "alpha legion" scouts myself.. but they won't be putting in an appearance. If by the end of turn 1 we all have no infantry left then we know it will be a draw and we should have cared more about the common man (very communist) :lol:

Flank march is big and clunky.. but there are other ways of doing stuff..e.g. DSing, infiltrating then scouting etc..If either side were really worried about it they'd take that (destroyable) anti flank march device. That said if you lot want it to be randomised I don't have a problem with that. (most assets have some form of wrongness or super exploitability .. thats why its handy to know just a list of which we should look at in advance..rather than trying to fix the whole game :lol: )
I'll be using the damocles for its orbital bombardment only..I won't be using it for DSing(LH got grumpy at the idea of it)

I'm kind of concerned that we'll all start the game (apart from WLH) with only a handful of models each and make a mockery of what should be a 12000 point a side game :D

With 24,000 points on the table you'd expect a load of models... are we going to short change ourselves? I'll take the titan and then lots of little stuff I think to fill the space on the table. I'd rather a spectacle than lots of optimised killy units. Then we can really say we removed vast handfuls of models per turn :D

In the list I originally posted I had spent over a third of my points on troop choices :P ..having seen I'll probably be going against at least 2 fully mech/AC lists, I am reappraising..it would be handy to have some anti tank in my list :oops: .. but the sketched out one I'm considering still has 1253 points of troops..

I didn't get grumpy, simply pointed out that taking a damocles in a Daemon Army is taking the pee somewhat...

I doubt you'd find many people disagreeing....

Up until your comment, all I'd heard from anyone was Matt said that would be ok on a 4+ :P If it offends the very game.. then it offends the very game and since demons suck so hard its unreal against serious players.. the issue is self solving. (I'm just trying to gain some credit with my opponents whilst also abandoning the fluffier line of play)

Well, I have tried to divide my mob about 50/50 down the middle and I have no ig transport at all (at the mo at least).

But, I think kmb has a point.
That mech stuff got me running to the hills and coming back with less troops (only 1 platoon :cry: ) and returning with more and more heavies (5 at last count).

The biker armada is just 4 x fat attack and 1 hq, no vehicles AT ALL* for me (except the sabre artillery).

Are we (you :D ) going ott with the vehicles???
Not being funny or anything, but like matt said, are we in danger of not having a true blood bath, for the sake of having more killy stuff???

* :oops: and 2 russ' of course!

I could drop the battery, hydra, and destroyer and bring infantry instead, maybe AF squads to fit with the mobility of the rest of my force. I wanted to bring the tanks just because I rarely get to use them in normal 40k games.
