Go with them then mate. :D
I thought the armoured comp was nice and fluffy.

My concerns started with ac + prisms + prob mech eldar + line breaker + supression force + 2 super heavies = we need big guns aplenty and not much else.

Well the suppression force is dropped and I was going infantry heavy only after taking the warhound. I'd suggested the Space puppy force was the linebreaker + infantry assault but we are waiting to hear what AdrianG is planning.

We have to juggle things somewhat though. Chaos are down a player and a flyer so these are our options I think:

1. Find another player to plug the hole
2. Give the remaining chaos players 1000 points each more and the loyalists drop a super heavy (I'll take more UM stuf in favour of the warhound).
3. I drop out and become the GM for the game - all remaining players get 1000 more points and we stick at 2 super heavies per side.

What do you think? Assuming 1 is unlikely, I vote for #2. What say you all?

First up, it's a shame that Elvis has had to drop out.

But...
Don't want to see you drop out Matt.

2 sounds fine to me, if we take some more stuff and keep it in fluff (maybe just chaos marines???) and look out for a player at the same time???

I need to talk to someone, so no promises, but maybe...

If the chaos side wants to take another SH to make up, I've got a few spare I can bring along.

Ok, I'll never get my baneblade done in time.

How's everyone doing painting wise???
I'm doing pretty well, on schedule (fingers crossed).

I just have 1 sabre and 2 new Kommanders to build and paint, 1 sabre and 14 infantry to get paint.

Until the list review of course...

Perhaps 2 super heavies per side is enough? It means more "normal" models on the table :D

Do you mind if we have a flyer and you do not? (of course, you have a Titan and we don't so it should even out ;) )

That's fine with me Matt, not bothered about the flyer thing personally.

Are we any nearer to yay/nay saying re flank march = 5th ed outflank and no to strategic redeployment???

So just checking everyone knows what they are agreeing with..
Titan you hit as normal, (you shoot as normal)...take off its 2 temporary AV12 shields then start rolling on AV14 for the table.(main weapons primary)
Vampire raider need 6s to hit it,it reduces the range of weapons so they aren't in range.. (it always hits side armour..) On a 4+ it ignores any hit and it is only ever glanced (not counting primary weapon dice ignorers afterwards or that driver stunned is bumped to the one that it may have a save from) But for this..if you get through its AV10 instead of AV14 (but since you have to have the range on it - basic range plus 12, its always going to be only lascannons and missiles anyway. So the balancer is that if we roll a 4 on the table(well actually a 6 because of the always on modifier), they are up poo creak (a bit like normal skimmers moving flat out)
Is that a fair summary of the special rules comparison?

If you fly over me..am I at rapid fire range 12”s?

I find flyers confusing… I’m sure spack said something about em be able to shoot where a flyer “had been”(if it moved between A and B I could shoot at any point along that line) but I can’t find that in the apoc rules.

KMB, those flyer to hit rules about the movement were for "normal" 40k using the IA rules. Those rules are no longer used - even in non-Apoc games FW says to use the Apoc rules for flyers.

Thats a shame, so range on flyers really is a bit of a problem.. hmm we need a shed of railguns on anti aircraft mounts.. thats what we need :D (I'll go into the shed)

So where are we?

Chaos: 3 players, 4000 points each. 2 super heavies

Imperial: 3 players, 4000 points each. 2 super heavies.

Assets: 2 per side + those granted by formations which only affect that formation/that player. Assets requiring models/counters need those things providing. Assets which can be countered, destroyed etc. should have their rules explained to opponents before the game/as revealed!

Banned assets:
Stategic Redeployment
Any more?

Asset Tweaks:
Flank march should work like 5th Ed outflank

Game set-up:Normal apoc rules but we go corner to diagonal corner on the deployment line for simplicity. Each side should have objective counters we can use. Game starts at 11am.

Conclusion:
Normal apoc objective based scoring. Any unit can score, not just Troops. Game has fixed end time of 5.30 (to give us all time to pack up).

Just spoke to Alex and he is happy to lose the flyer from his list (he agreed it might be too much only one side having one). So he'll take more normal eldar and I'll stick with the Warhound.

ruffian...2 assets per side or 3?

What!!!!!!!!
I changed my army and made that sabre for nothing?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

Ah well, an objective marker is born, I suppose. :D

Two sounds reasonable...after all, it will probably turn into something like four or more.
