Howcome the pdf file generated doesnt give you a new stat line of the weapon created? it just lists the upgrades you gave it. would allow better playability if you could, thanks

The calculator does this because that's how the example sheets in the VDR are laid out. The VDR calculator is not a replacement for owning the original VDR articles - it's just there to help calculate the overall cost. All the weapon stats are in the CA article itself. If too much information is included GW would probably force it to be pulled off the site.
