Free deckbuilding/collection cataloguing software?

Postby LordMalekTheRedKnight » Sat Dec 27, 2008 2:58 pm

Hey all :)

as our collection is begining to grow, its becoming difficult to keep track of exactly what cards we have (and in what quantities) - building new decks means spreading everything out and going through it all by hand.

does anyone know of a simple and free program that allows you to make a catalogue of your collection and build decks from it? maybe even something online that allows you to share your collections/decks with others?

something maybe a bit like Army Builder, if you get what i mean.

many thanks in advance :)

I don't know of any free software that does what you want. Personally, I just use excel to keep track of my collection, though it makes assigining a value a pain. I have Cardvault which is supposed to be better at doing all of this, but I didn't like it because it wanted to know the sets of the various cards, and I didn't want to be bothered to keep track of this information.

cheers mate. :)

so far ive been working out my decks by spreading cards out on the table, and then saving the lists as spreadsheets. i havent typed up my whole collection though, and even if i did, it wouldnt have all the details from the cards themselves. i would have thought that they would have had something on the website to do this, that links to Gatherer (which is excellent IMO).

ive just updated my Green and Red decks - could you take a look at the threads?

cheers :)
