Intrigued as to why when KOW rules are free.. when people will have everything lying around already.
Something that relys on a hexagonal mat for uniqueness..(optional) charges separately for the rules .
the 'visitor' class level of devotion just seems odd, I take it this means they will not be free in their webzine in January.

(or to put it slightly more directly) Given an american football game on a board using fantasy archetypes with increased aggression is only distinguished by its rules and handwavium.. I guess its up to (the higher level devoted) people spoilering to provide any sense of difference,as we can't sit back and actually see the differences for ourselves until we pledge our support for our future download.
I'm not just going on the hype, because the hype is clearly you lot marketing..and a couple of meh models.
I request content
Spoilers on unique mechanics to make us want, rather than just promo blurb that its like Colin Farrell put into rollerball with the A-team against the expendables (nobody mention a bowl).:
> Does it have fouls./a sinbin, does it have a league ruleset.
> Does it have tiered casualties,
> Upgrades, flexibility or unique/stars and a set roster for speed of play.
> Is the colour on the board decoration and deployment zones or is it like scrabble nice squares bad squares and you have corrupted pitch/ warp zones etc/ can they be manipulated.
> How does the dice interact with the game, is it used in extreme movement (like dare I say it."going for it"..which I love)..
> How does tackling work compared to its existing peer games,
> Are the cards provided representative of teams and equipment (static play guides) or are they random events provide some fun examples that I would like to see happen in a game I might play..".E.g. "grobnar the wicked" Grobnar the wicked throwa a beer can at your starting linesman just before kickoff pass a save or restrict movement to half for first half.. (grobnar is evicted from the stadium after use)
Barely even lurking..

> Does it have fouls./a sinbin, does it have a league ruleset.
Yes, yes and yes. There's a fouling system and the refs are active in play, and can be moved tactically by both players. There is a full league system provided with player experience and advancement and MVP hiring etc.

> Does it have tiered casualties,
You can be injured for one or more turns of even killed.

> Upgrades, flexibility or unique/stars and a set roster for speed of play.
Yes to all. Players can gain experience in a league and MVPs are available for hire for games. A roster can have up to 14 players " on the books".

> Is the colour on the board decoration and deployment zones or is it like scrabble nice squares bad squares and you have corrupted pitch/ warp zones etc/ can they be manipulated.
Players begin the game in their own half. In the opposing half, the coloured areas are the "strike zones". You can only score points by being in an opposing strike zone and hitting the corresponding strike hex. Hitting the strike hex from the furthest hex in the zone scores an extra point. The furthest strike zone from your half is worth the most points. Once a team scores, the ball is immediately relaunched into play from the middle and play continues. The players and the board do not reset.

> How does the dice interact with the game, is it used in extreme movement (like dare I say it."going for it"..which I love)..
All actions are tests using a number of dice. The base is 3 dice. You need a number of successes in order to complete an action (usually 1). Doubling the number of successes usually gives a bonus. When performing an action against an opponent (slam, slamback, dodging etc.) you both compare the number of successes you had when rolling. Any modifiers affect the number of dice rolled, not the score required to score a success.

> How does tackling work compared to its existing peer games,
Blocking is called a "Slam" and depending on the player type the defender can either dodge or slam-back. Different player rolls are better or worse at different actions. In fact some player types cannot perform some actions at all. Guards for example cannot even hold the ball. It make getting the balance of player types right crucial for your team and means the team make-ups play very differently and need very different tactics.

> Are the cards provided representative of teams and equipment (static play guides) or are they random events provide some fun examples that I would like to see happen in a game I might play..".E.g. The cards represent a number of things at the same time - fan support, random game events, extra actions you can take, ref movement and also a random number generator if a random player needs selecting.

re: free rules... only KoW and Warpath (the tabletop games) are free. The "one-off" boxed games are all paid-for (e.g. Dwarf King's Hold and Project Pandora).

Have I got the wrong end of the stick, in that they are multi purpose and there are 54 of them... is this a malifaux thing and they are just a numerical value (modded playing cards) drawn for a situation.
I appreciate this is still important as a variable to sit on rule sets..but are they scenary and fluff specific, or are they a way to resolve a load of randomisers? Are they command and colours command cards (activation and events) or a d54for whenever?
Are they all of the above, with a scatter, an action paragraph and a numerical value on each, or are there 3 piles of cards/"draw until you find an event card"?

It's one single card deck with different things on it depending what you are drawing for.

Turns - your turn is called a "Rush". In your rush you get (as standard) 5 actions to play. Multiple success during a test for an action can grant you free actions. If you lose the ball during your rush (including scoring) your rush ends and play switches to the other team. Each team gets 7 rushes before the game ends.

Scoring - this is not cumulative. When you score the scoring track moves that number of points in your favour. If you get to +7 in your favour, you win. If the game ends (both players have had all 7 rushes), with the scoring difference on zero, that game goes to sudden death - first team to score any number of points wins. However, the gates have slammed shut - during sudden death, only the players on the pitch are involved - no subs or players returning from injury or suspension are allowed to participate.

Well at least we know your marketing campaign works.. with all the 'Its not bloodbowl' spammed everywhere and then only releasing any content anywhere 3 days ago with righteous indignation that people can only use bloodbowl as a frame of reference based on information troll provided.. and then again with the drib drab televangelist bump pledges for the next 30 days and the "wow isn't it great we nearly raised 45,000 bob, but you know what, ..."
You know marketing just for marketing is a legit reason to delete threads... just saying.

No I don't want a reply bump..I would delight in spack creating a sage tag.

I've removed my offensive sig banner.

I posted the two links to Jake's blog because you had asked for information about the game. Sorry if I misunderstood.

So, did KMB get burned by Mantic or something? I just don't understand the level of hatred for their products that spew forth from his posts.

Please explain as there 'has' to be some sort of history here we are missing.
