Introing Dreadball

Introing Dreadball

Postby Socaddict » Tue Feb 11, 2014 2:05 pm

So, last weekend I finally got around to trying out Dreadball with a friend. We did a few things wrong and didn't use special events, refbot or fouls, but it played fast, smoothly and really nicely. Awesome game.

Now I've ordered a few things to allow the two of us to run some intro games (extra boads and card sets mainly) and I'm wondering what the best team set up would be. I think running Orx (beginner) against humans is an easy one - the Orx guards are more forgiving and easier to understand and distinguish.

I was thinking about female humans against vermyn, any other suggestions?

I want to be able to run two or three intro games at the same time, and have one set of each team (yay kickstarter!)

Cheers.

Humans are a great intro team and Orx are an OK counter. Zz'or might be more interesting.

Zees are hilarious but frustrating. Nameless are pretty powerful as are Asterians. Forge Fathers can play a good passing game.

The demo scenario the Pathfinders use is Humans (the original 29ers team) and Orx.

Judwan can be interesting to use as they will not slam or slamback. Makes for a very differenty game - especially against slam happy Orx. :D
D&D quote of the decade:"Wait, doesn't anyone have a Rod of Resurrection? If you've got one, I need it bad. Get in here with your rod and give it to me!"

"Happy-Slammed" by an Orx. The new you-tube sensation.
