Mantic use the same base size. Their range covers:
King = Lord/Thane
Warsmith = Engineer/Rune Priest
Berzerker Lord = Slayer character
Army Standard = ;)
Ironclads = clansmen type
Shieldbreakers = 2-handed weapons
Ironguard = elite warriors
Berzerkers = Slayers
Ironbelcher = Cannon or Organ Gun
Flamebelcher = Flame Cannon

Don't think there would be a problem using Mantic figures (unless you went to play in a GW store or tournaments) and the scale should be about the same. The problem comes in that they are a different visual style so if you mixed ranges it might look a bit odd but the Beserkers should fit right in as Slayers although to be fair there isn't a great deal of difference in price between them and GWs Slayers, especailly with GFs discount. The other slight problem is Mantics war machines have 2 crew whereas you need three for WHFB.
