My first new figures in almost 10 years

Just got my first new figures in 10 years from https://www.gamingfigures.com . IMG_20180823_163633062.jpg I've always liked the look of the AdMech but there were very few figures back then, just the Techpriest Enginseer for the IG, and a few older figures. I stopped playing 40k before the Skitarii m...

Re: Forge World Gorgon Armoured Assault Transport

Gorgon construction complete. Lots of filling and tidying up to do, and a little heating and bending here and there, but it's finally come together. Spent the past couple of hours carefully trimming flash off the infantry, had to glue a few feet back on but on the whole not too much of a problem. IM...

Re: Forge World Gorgon Armoured Assault Transport

Still sorting out small details, the fuel barrels are now glued into place and the ladder railing. Also managed to carefully prise out the driver and seat so I could fit the correct arms, this will also making painting the cab and driver much easier. Re: Forge World Gorgon Armoured Assault Transport

Those photos were taken yesterday. Today when I took a fresh look at it I noticed that the front armour was twisted to the left. Measuring the upper pistons I found that the left one was about 3mm shorter than the right. Took a few minutes to detach both pistons, then got in with a thin Dremel cutti...

Forge World Gorgon Armoured Assault Transport

It's been 7 years since I boxed all my 40k collection up in the attic, but this week I pulled out the Forge World Gorgon transport kit to put together. I bought this from a site member, and local club member, about 8 years ago. The cab had been glued together, and the armour plating on the gun posit...

Re: Adeptus Titanicus! TITANS! TITANS TITANS!

They do look good. Far better than the figures that came out year ago. The Warlord is almost as expensive as a Knight, but it's also nearly as big. I'm going to stick with 28mm scale though - going to finally get my Death Korps kits put together and painted up. I've been out of the 40k hobby for abo...

Re: WN8 Rating Changes

I'll take a look and see what they broke. It's possible that I was relying on a deprecated API call because some of the newer calls don't return all of the tankopedia information, and that's used for all of the vehicle data. Thanks for letting me know it wasn't working, I haven't played for a few we...

Left 4 Dead 2

Anyone else here play Left 4 Dead 2? Got persuaded to install it yesterday with a couple of friends, ended up playing for about 3 hours. Today my son and I ran the first 6 co-op missions in a row, totalling about 8 hours. And still only half way through the co-op campaign, this is a great fun game :)

FrontLine battle mode

Throughly enjoying the FrontLine battle mode, much more fun than a normal battle being able to respawn in other tanks of the same level. Managed a 10 kill game too :)

Biker Scout Helmet by Chefs Creations

Continuing my pursuit of collecting Star Wars full scale helmets, this week I received a Scout trooper, aka Biker Scout, helmet kit made by Chef's Creations. This kit is made up 5 large pieces of ABS just like the original helmets used in Return of the Jedi, and needs quite a bit of trimming and glu...

Re: Starting a Star Wars 1/6 (12") figure collection

I haven't updated this for quite a while as I'd stopped getting 12" figures, but recently got the itch again and decided that Boba Fett was lonely without the rest of the bounty hunters that are with in The Empire Strikes Bsck. The last of these arrived today, now I all need to do is figure out...

Re: Han in Carbonite in 1/6 Scale

I gave up on trying to get this printed, far too many issues with the original 3d files. Ended up looking out for the old Hasbro 12" Carbonite piece that came in the Han 2 pack, and ended up getting a still sealed set for a lot less than this would have cost to make.

Very nice Angelwing. I've got a box set of these kicking around somewhere, never did get around to painting them.
