I played for a while and absolutely loved the game, had quite an extensive imperial fleet too. the mechanics of the game were wonderful, and the models of the cruisers fantastic. Kinda wish i still played, my regular gaming partners sort of grew up! (stupid fools!) so now i just reminisce about the good old days.

Seriously though bfg is a fantastic game to play, and good fun. Its also one of them there games that dont require a fat lot of models or space to play

BFG is very tactical, each ship has a certain amout of degres it can turn so you have to really think and plan ahead otherwise you can get really hurt.

Getting your fleet into good positions to fire is half teh challange as your ships are always movig about the board.

Overall BFG plays alot differnt to many other GW games. If Belgarion_82 drops by hell explain thigs a bit better than me becuase he's played it for longer and (supposedly) knows what he's doing. I do really suggest trying to give it ago its alot of fun.

da_grot, AI also has limited turning too, the less manoevrable the aircraft the wider it's turns will be - I haven't read the BFG rules, but I'm guessing that it has some similar elements.

I'll try and pop down the club with AI next Thursday - can't make it this Sunday as I've got a few friends popping round.

Sounds interesting - lot's of us are looking forward to seeing it. My only concern is that the models are so expensive again! I've spent a fortune ont he side games - BFG, Bloodbowl, Warmaster (Warhamster?!) and the models tend to sit in a box for months / years at a time! It will be good to see the game for real. (I would say though that this Thursday we've got Roleplay on for the session. The main interested people are all involved with that for the whole session, but the following Sunday or Thursday would be easier as players are likely to be freer to have a good gander!) Look forward to seeing it. S.
