Hey Hark,

I don't play Epic(No one in my area does it seems :? ). I have thought about trying to pick up some stuff from EBAY though, especially the fliers to use in a double role for AI as well. I bet there are probably a couple Epic players here though.
The only "hobby" GW is interested in is lining their pockets with your money.

:( Not played Epic for a long, long time.
I've always been one for huge battles, and epic fuelled my addiction.
Basically have the same problem now, finding people who still play it.
It's got to the point where I'm seriously considering selling everything on E-bay (*spit*).
Collector of Space Wolves, and all round awful painter!

A few of the members of the club I play at still play E:A (and BFG too), but actually getting them to post here will be a challenge.

For the record, the guilty are: Slate, Emperor, and Herne

:P

I sold all my Epic stuff a couple of years ago (entire SM chapter + titan support, and a toolkit case full of orks), I used to play back in the days of Adeptus Mechanicus with the additional infantry and vehicle rules from White Dwarf. I never did play Space Marine, or E:A.

ok...ok...guilty

Postby Herne » Fri Nov 02, 2007 12:42 pm

ok - I;m guilty - I do play EA - Have a space marine force complete with 4 thunderhawks and drop pods. They are painted up as templars - mainly becayse it was easy! I've also got an Adeptus Mechanicus Titan legion army complete with knights, mole mortars, thud guns, tech servitors et al. The guard bit of that is slowly growing into a separate guard mech legion too.

Mr spack, i have a infantry IG epic army. Epic is great fun to play tho i feel it might get over looked abit at the club as most of the others have enough 40k stuff to field "epic" armies (well there apocolypse games)

I never said nobody had EA armies at the club - I just said getting you to post admitting it would be hard. As it is only 3 of you have posted (and I know at least another one has an EA army ;)), and it took over a month for you to post Belgarion :p

Alright, fair point, in our defence we aint got epic in mind its all about the 40k(apoc) at the moment, i mean come on why play with 3 tiny baneblades when we can play with 3(or 9) big ones :)

Epic

Really enjoy playing all the specialist games - Epic is excellent. I currently have a Imp Guard army with many Super Heavies + Space Marines but my fave is my 14000 Eldar army fully painted. Happy now Sir Dan

that serves me right for not keeping an eye on this post lol .... at the mo' E:A has taken over from 40k for me. The tactical side is so much more fun, rules aren't full of daft mistakes and the lists are more or less balanced between themselves (OK apart from feral orks!!)

Am lucky enough to have about 3 or 4 others near to me who all play, so far have been playing a lot more of that than 40k

No Ben, birds do that

:D

I haven't kept up with Epic prices from GW so I don't know - did you try comparing prices for new stuff on the GW to what they sell for on eBay?

I only saw 4 out there. Currently the only Epic pieces I have are flyers that I purchased for Aeronautica. I wasn't sure if it was worth bothering of if the Epic players tend to keep what they have.

4 what out there where? eBay UK has 153 auctions in Epic right now:

http://toys.listings.ebay.co.uk/Warhamm ... ngItemList

and Epic stuff oftens turns up in the 40k section too.

The GW UK store has a large list of Epic stuff:

and of course there's Forge World too for tanks, aircraft, scenery, and even infantry (their Grey Knights models are stunning).
