Still having a few problems with spacecrusade 0.1 alpha.
When you buy stuff from the armoury, all my players want to believe the shop only contains one of each item, I'm trying to encourage them to write on their char sheet stuffthey have ,e.g. potions of healing , spear, sheild etc..
Its kids man.. I don't mind them all maxing out stuff but is there a RAW or anything I can point to say that more than one guy can have the staff? (I know unique quest treasures are unique)

Been years since I played it. However I don't suppose there is anything wrong with you making up a house rule and just telling the players that that is how the game will be played form now on.

Had a quick dig around, apparently in the UK boxed set all the equipment had a single card, and therefore could only be taken by one player, except the helmet and shield which had two cards each so could be taken by two players.

RAW for buying equipment -
'there is a card for each item of equipment available for purchase. any player wishing to buy equipment should take the card they want, reduce the money on their sheet by the value shown on the card, and make a note of the benefits of the equipment on their sheet. the spear and staff, for example, allow characters to attack diagonally.'

note it doesn't say they have to keep the card

also potions etc cant be carried from quest to quest, all normal treasure cards should be returned between quests, the only exception is the special quest treasure cards

update on RAW
on the back of the heroquest adventure design booklet - there is a new character sheet with a section for writing down equipment carried so you don't need cards.
'This also allows you to buy pieces of equipment for which there are no spare cards by simply paying the existing cost and noting them down'

amazing what you find in the loft

it looks like my game contains almost everything from the main game, the first two expansions and the dungeon design book. the only things missing are 1 fire magic card, 1 orc figure, the big gargoyle and the tomb,
Im thinking of taking it down to the raiders to see if anyone wants a game
