I guess if I want new members to post something here, I'd better kick it off myself first
I'm in my thirties, married with 2 kids, a house, and a serious
GW addiction.
I've been playing
40K on and off since 1988, just after Rogue Trader was released. Most of that time was "off" though
I took a big break when I went to University, then got back into it for a short time around 1994/1995, while 2nd edition was still around. I then packed it all away again, and only recently towards the end of 2001 did I dig everything out of the attic, which was Ric's fault for starting to paint some marines and post pics. It didn't take long for me to get addicted again, and Ric and I started up the #warhammer40k channel on Quakenet
IRC. More recently I set up this web site as a way for the #warhammer40k channel members to have a more permanent home for pictures, army lists, and general chat, but have now opened it for anyone to use.
Over the years I've collected a lot of
40k stuff (most of the non-
40k stuff I've dumped on eBay in the past couple of years to help fund my
40k habit), and you can see a lot of it in
my Gallery. There's a lot of stuff still not posted in there though - I'll be working on adding more in the future.
Current projects include a
scratchbuilt Valkyrie using plasticard (almost complete), messing with my
IG Air Cav army (might add a Vulture or two, and definitely need a few more Valkyries
), creating a Skitarii/Adeptus Mechanicus army, and getting
my collection painted (I'm pretty sure I'll be passing that legacy onto my grandchildren when I finally pop my clogs).
Current armies include:
8500pts of
Space Marines - still unsure whether to stick with Dark Angels or go back to the
Novamarines colour scheme I managed to paint one terminator in and win a small
GW store competition with (although he's somewhat battered now after nearly 8 years of living in a box with other models)
3500pts
Eldar - I mainly play using Biel-Tan rules as I have a lot of aspect warriors (the ones in the pics are only part of the collection)

Chaos marines - although I started painting them in Black Legion colours I tend to play as Iron Warriors, although recently I've tried going back to
BL so I can field a Bloodthirster using the
Netherlord model from
Heresy Miniatures (the model is no longer available, and the replacement Netherlord II just doesn't look anywhere near as good!). I still haven't fielded my
Chaos Titan in a game yet though
2500pts
Imperial Guard - my most recent army, I picked up a load of Steel Legion models on eBay. In the near future I'll try out my
drop troop army, once the Valkyrie is finished.
2000pts
Armoured Company - most of these tanks were a cheap auction on eBay, but required serious rebuilding. I also picked up a few Forgeworld turrets for my
HQ/Elite tanks, and converted one Leman Russ to a
Laser Destroyer using a Basilisk barrel.
3000pts
Inquisition - includes enough to field 1500pts of pure Grey Knights. Very few pics up at the moment, but that will change once I've sorted them out.
