Welcome forum

coming over from Warseer

Postby electricblooz » Thu Sep 20, 2007 3:44 pm

Hi, some of you know me from Warseer (in fact, i think some of you hate me from Warseer :) )- I followed Tim for the rules discussion. After reading the limited discussion on Tim's "ban" (and noting the fact that half the "mods" in that discussion are accounts I've put on my ignore list), it seems pretty apparent that the only rules discussion that will be allowed over there is the discussion that supports the Fly lords....

Too bad really - now I've got to learn how to use this forums control plus I'm back to being a "newbie"

Welcome to the site from me aswell. As you can see, LordMalek has already started taking part of rules discussions, and I am happy to see that.

Spack...I understand you are the owner and creator of this site? Good work. I am getting used to using this site now, and it works really well for me. Keep it up.

Yeah, I started this site over 2 years ago as somewhere I could post my pictures and to give my friends in #warhammer40k on Quakenet somewhere to post stuff that was "permanent". I had some help with the design, and the backend is just PHP Nuke, but I've modded it heavily over the years and integrated some additional bits like Gallery. Currently it's running on a PC under my desk at work :P (it was hosted in the US but my provider took it offline as it was apparently using too much CPU, and they'd only reinstate it if I moved to a dedicated server for $100 a month, so I moved it here where it's on a dedicated "server" for free :))

I'm open to suggestions on how to improve it, just post in the The Site forum if you get any ideas.
