Hi fellas!

I've migrated over here since my ban on warseer (about half an hour ago! ) but don't hold that against me!

I wasn't actually being a bad boy over there either but with 'moderators' like that who needs trolls. I did however suggest that the vast majority of things on the 'rumour' board were made up. What is annoying though is the fact that I was halfway through a number of discussions which I can't even see now!

Anyway, cheers for the welcome

You aren't the first to fall foul of the facist thought police. Behave here though - we have a different policy. Those who don't behave don't get banned. We eat them instead!

Haha!

I'll try my best to behave, I promise. It's actually quite fun to think someone thinks I'm a bad boy! lol

what were u discussing over there, im sure we can entertain the topic here also. the forums are a little quiet tonight, weekends tend to be a bit slow, but u can bank on a good turn out during the week usually.

just start the topics on the forum and tell us what was being debated ;) I look forward to reading them.

I'll be honest, it wasn't anything that really fits on here. One topic was the uniforms and equipment of the 2nd Ranger Battalion in WWII and which of two tanks had made the most impact in the ETO - between the Sturmtiger and the M36 'Jackson' - specifically in August - october '45.

I've kind of fallen from grace in terms of GW games lately since I've gotten older and ran out of people to play against, as such it's been two editions of the core games ago that i played either but I still collect legal armies, paint and model them to a fair standard so I'm still interested in keeping ut to date with things and seeing what everyone else has painted. It's my penchant for telling all the moaners on whineseer that they really need to look at themselves that has got me booted but I'm happy that there's loads of logs on here with mini's painted to an excellent standard to discuss.

Cheers, james

ah i see.... well.

I know its short notice, but AoS has two meet ups a year at WHW. The next event is this weekend (very short notice). But if you do fancy playing some friendly games, then maybe you could come along to the next meeting and have some there. ;)

PS: Don't play KMB though if it's a friendly game you want :D lol.... I just thought I would get that in 1st Toby ;)

Thanks for the offer mate but that's near impossible for me to get to since I'm in the grim depths of Scotland and I've skint myself by attending the War and Peace show last week in Kent. I have been telling myself I need to be proactive in gaming lately, so maybe it's time.

Btw, I've only just noticed that this place has a shop with a rediculously high discount!!!!!

Well done chaps!

As I said, maybe the next one if this is too short a notice ;)

Yes, our shop is one of the cheapest online. The cheapest in some cases where large orders or far flung places, like the darkest depths of Scotland ;) , need to be reached. We don't ask/beg our members for contributuons towards the sight. Anytime you require new stuff, if you buy from our shop you will be supporting your new online home :)

You dropped the underscore in your name.. how secretive, its almost like protective custody
Parus ater wrote:It's my penchant for telling all the moaners on whineseer that they really need to look at themselves
I'll occasionally fall into the moaning camp but only if someone is insisting that unit X is the best thing ever and the whole world just doesn't play it right, having themselves not played since 3rd ed  and after 4 pages of not being able to show a tactical use they resort to "well the models are pretty, which means they are good".. at which point table and head meet repeatedly and I concede they are correct.(I try to avoid general and rumours now.. they should just be moved to groups and factions after post 3)
Sad to see you got caught up in the latest purge (shamfrit, triggerdog and a few others fell in the last fortnight too)
Hope you find a nice new home on the web, and that maybe its here.

Would that be somewhere near Ibrox???

Welcome to AOS, hope you like it here (that's a point, is Parus Ater male or female? I'm partial to a bit of breast, but you can keep the parsons nose).

Come on you 'Gers!
