Hello from Timland

Postby Dezartfox » Mon Jun 16, 2008 8:29 pm

Hey all, I'm Tim! Also known as Timjim, or Dezartfox.

I'm also the dude that works on the Vassal module for 40k and other systems!
If you don't know, Vassal is a board game simulator that lets you play board games over the internet, and we have a 40k one ;) Also we have a BB one and some others in progress ^^

www.vassal40k.com

I joined so I could thank Spack for the measurements for the AI stuff, though there's one or two more I'd like from him if he gets chance ;) I'm starting work on an AI module for Vassal :)

Welcome Dezartfox!
We thank Spack for this site as well (though not too loud or too often, lest he get a swelled head! )

I will have to check out Vassel when I get a chance.

Welcome to the site. I haven't got to grips with Vassal - tried it a couple of times and just couldn't figure out how to get it to work :S

Wow, Vassel looks nice. I'm actually working on a simple java based app for my final project for my software engineering course that tries to do the same thing, although I'm sure I'll fail utterly! Kudos to you and that whole team that worked that up!

Woo! More specialist ninjas, soon this site will have to have TV logo name that chuck norris would be proud of such as the Open Fist Of Released Dice Death Diatribers (or as calista flockheart screams out regularly "OFORDDD!")

Dang I think I'm going through ruffian4 withdrawel..where is he?

Hello!

Had a quick scan at Vassel, looks really interesting (might even help me learn the rules better ;) I'm going to take a look! Being Java based I assume I'll be able to run it on OS-X natively :D
