Hey all!

Welcome forum

Hey all!

Postby LordMalekTheRedKnight » Mon Aug 14, 2006 5:58 pm

Hi everybody!

some of you will already know me from the GW 40K Forum or The Waaagh - still thought i should introduce myself:

im Tim, 24, living in Swansea (South Wales, UK). im currently using (my wife's) Eldar, but i have my IG on standby. ive also played as Marines, Necrons and 'Nids, over the past 10 years. i have lots on the drawing board, including plans for Adeptus Arbites, Ash Wastes Nomads and an Adeptus Mechanicus (renegade) Tech-cult. im also working on a homebrew 40K expansion for Tunnel Fighting, with help from my better half.

ive always got my rulebooks on hand to provide useful quotes and page numbers, but my posts are liable to be filled with typos (dodgy keyboard, over enthusiastic posting). see that as an apology for all future spelling mistakes!

cheers for having me on board :D

Feel free to post piccies in the gallery. I never realised you were a youngster ... I've been a 40k player on and off since 1988!

As Tim pointed out, he read the stickies in the site forum. If you want a rank, go to the Usergroups link at the top of a forum page and choose a race - you'll then get a rank based on that race. The more posts you make, the higher your rank will be :)

Join the club - nearly 20 years in the hobby and I have very little painted (quite apparent from my gallery, I never seem to find the patience or the motivation

It's like being back at school! You know Tim, there's more to life than 40k :P

Interesting use of the Dark Eldar vehicle blades on the Destroyer Lord.

I'm still working on my Ad Mech army (not sure whether it'll be a traited Marine army using Scion of Mars, a doctrined IG army, or using Iron Warriors with servo-arms on Asp Champs in each squad), but I've got plenty of servitors and techpriests (like the Skulz set of 9) and I'll likely use Inq Stormtroopers as Skittari too.

:D

thats quite a claim to make - do you have a page number and quote to back it up?

cheers 8)
actually, the "wings" were made from a Hellion Skyboard (although im not sure if they are actually any different to the vehicle blades). i also lengthened the blade on the SoL with a part from an Undead spear.

Skullz Techpriests?! 8O wheres the "drool" emoticon?
(ahh, here it is: :eusa_drool )
il have to eBay them one day...

the Servitor ive painted was just a simple conversion - Catachan arm (the one holding a lasgun, firing from the hip) added to a Gun Servitor. im quite happy w/the paint job - it was fun :) my favourite bit has te be the "cog teeth" pattern going down the edge of the gunstrap. 8)

ive used C:WH to make my Tech Cult list - il post it at some point, if you like. :)

cheers

Get ready to mortgage your house then, the set often goes for £100+ nowadays. I picked them up some time ago for £35, at least they're gaining value :)

Yeah, that'd be handy. Post it up in the Army Lists forum.

Nope, I try not to join up to too many sites as I just end up forgetting to look. I'm on a few Yahoo groups though (SFCMA, BWC-Archive) so I might take a look.
