Hi Hi Hi

Welcome forum

Hi Hi Hi

Postby Kundutei » Mon Jun 23, 2008 9:24 am

Just wanted to say hello, I have been ordering minis and other stuff form GamingFigures.com for a while now and have always been impressed by the excellent prices and great service! I also enjoy your galleries immensely. Done a bit of forum lurking and figured I should say hello!
HELLO! :D

A bit of history:
I have been collecting citadel minis since I was about 9 and started playing at the tender age of 10. I can remember W40k's Rogue Trader days but really started out with Dark Future and then played a lot of Space Hulk. That was all a long time ago, I am now 33 and have renewed my passion for W40k in the last few years with a nice new White Scars army.
In addition to the White Scars marines I'm also working on my daughters Dark Eldar army, helping my friend with his Sisters of Battle and creating various Bloodbowl teams. Been toying with the idea of creating a Chaos Marine or Daemon army too one day!

Having experienced 40k in every rewrite of the rules so far I am looking forward to 5th edition. I don't play as much as I would like and my painting and modelling has taken a backseat to online gaming in the last couple of months since I recently bought Age of Conan. I will finish my White Scars army one day!

Currently have about 3000pts painted of White Scars in an Apocalypse army that will likely end up at about 12500pts once it is all done and includes many Imperial Guard (about 2k points) and Daemonhunters (1500 points) in the mix.

Some of my stuff can be seen here: http://uk.youtube.com/user/Kundutei

I only play W40k and Bloodbowl these days, although I used to play WFB many, many years ago.

Hello, and welcome to our home.

Most of us, if not all just play 40k.

However, I used to play a lot of Warhammer but havent played since the new rules came out over 2 years ago.

Dabbled in Necromunda and Blood Bowl(class game when you've had a few beers) but havent played them in years.

thanks for the awesome welcome folks! :D

Cgra1: I'm a big fan of Mad Max and Dark Future inspired me to convert some crazy models. My little brother was a bit miffed about me stealing his matchbox cars, but IMO they looked way better once they'd been dark-futurised!

Sammael: Looking forward to seeing what they've done for what IMO is the most under-appreciated chapter of the first founding. These unsung heroes of the Heresy are hardly ever mentioned anywhere in GW fluff or literature. Although I suspect that is what first attracted me to them, along with the fact that they are crazy bikers whos main tactic is to launch lightning assaults and keep the enemy guessing. I'm nowhere near the great tactician that Jaghatai Khan was supposed to be, most of my battle plans are so hare-brained that they might just work!
I am from Basingstoke.

Taumaul: Bloodbowl is a great game when you're just sat about socialising, bonus is it's one of the few GW games that comes with a proper board. So a minimum of setting up is required when you just want a quick fun game. Pretty easy to teach a newbie the basic rules too!
For my money W40k is the best game in the GW range these days. Always fancied a go at Necromunda, but sadly never got around to it.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the White Scars SChar grants them, bikers as troops no doubt.

Any ways, I hope to see u on the main forums, and welcome once again.

I was reliably informed yesterday that not only will he grant bikers as troops but also he will increase bike squad sizes to 10, these can still be split down into combat squads, which is very cool. Plus there will obviously be a new super-cool miniature to represent him! Things are looking good for my beloved White Scars! :D

Heh, I also forgot to mention that all White Scar bikers will also get the 'Hit and Run' ability too, which should be fun!

lol :D i'm going to have to move ur welcome thread to the w40k forum b4 someone thinks ur mr popular around here hihihi

Hit n Run in 5th requires an Initiative test to enact. So not too bad for SMs, but not something to now bank on. Ork defcopters have hit and run, but never get to use it lmao :D:D:D (I2)

hehe
Is that done on 1D6, or 2D6 like the Ld test?
I remember SoB Seraphim get 'Hit and Run' but they never had to test Initiative as far as I remember. Been a while since I played against any tho and last time I did the Seraphim ended up deep stiking and scattered off the table lol
