SIXTY TERMINATORS march to war

Postby northdrop » Wed Apr 15, 2009 8:24 am

Sixty terminators and ten dreadnoughts march to war. However, as they are the Assault on Black Reach editions they lack extra components....namely Cyclone Missile Launchers. I need twelve of them. I figured if i was going to build an Apocalypse army, i would do it right (and yes, i have plenty of tactical squads for capturing objectives lol). I sent a message to the gaming figures website, among others, in search of these parts but have had no success.

Ye veterans who hang out at THE bugmans, the very bugmans the GW staff celebrated the Tale of Four Gamers in, may have some idea as to how i might get a hold of these precious tools of destruction. i hope:)

Hi there.
Sorry bud I cant help you (I've only got 1 5-man squad, & I've used the cyclone). I can suggest a couple of ideas though: ebay (or another auction site), the drop-pod deathwind launcher (I was messing around one day - looks ok!), the landspeeder typhoon launcher (never had one so I don't know the size comparison) or constructing your own out of Plasticard & green stuff (followed by a latex mold & resin!)
Following on from the last idea there, if you can (or are willing to learn how to) mold stuff & can get hold of a GW one...
Well, I hope you find the parts you need!!

Hoard o bits…good reliable auction site, couldn’t find any, but only skimmed through.

http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/Hoard-O-B ... ec0Q2em322

Bits and kits, £2, but out of stock.

http://www.battlewagonbits.co.uk/shop/c ... =cid%3D%26

Bits box, £1, but out of stock.

http://www.bitzbox.co.uk.php5-2.dfw1-1. ... 01780edbeb

It's worth checking from time to time as of course, stock changes.

I do have one of the old metal ones.
I had a quick look for it, found the "missile plate" but not the box.
99.9% it's there somewhere though.

That's a point, how about chaos vehicle havoc launchers?
Would look pretty distinctive (should you allow such a travesty of course!).

Hello and welcome!
I can't help you with the bits other than point you in the direction of Ruffians sites.
It's a lot of terminators though. Pics please!

Only 60 termies? I have almost 100, along with 14 dreadnoughts :P

Now that's out of the way, I can tell you that Gaming Figures won't be able to provide these as the retailer contract we have with GW does not allow us to sell unboxed/split products. The "bits" sites that sell loose parts are either doing so not as GW contracted retailers (ie, they purchase their GW product from another retailer, and then break them down) or they are breaking the terms of their contract and risk having their account terminated. Gav should have replied though, although he might have been busy dealing with orders.

Good luck on finding 12 Cyclones for a reasonable price. You might want to consider scratch building instead, it could well save you a lot in the long run.

Let me know. One of the guys at our game shop has a bunch of these, and as everyone there is irritated with him, I'm sure one of them will be glad to steal them for you.

(JOKE!! REALLY!! JOKING!!!)

There's a place here in the states called TheWarStore, here's a link.

Bad news is they want $9.99 per set! 8O

Good Luck!

http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Hoard-O-Bits

They have them, but they are in a set of 14 Terminator Arms and you only get the one launcher in the bag.
