Yeah it's a rip off. But it has all the options for both the Baneblade and Shadowsword kits. Instead of 2 separate kits. Good for spares or magnetising. Not so good otherwise.

For that price it should have all the variants!

I remember when it was £60, and even then that was a bit steep...

eBay it is...

Edit: my bad-it does have all variants now... Still, can only use one at a time...

If the Rending Pony gets unjustified 25% price increases then it doesn't matter how many ways I can dress it up, it's still a pony. Eventually I stop feeding it or I put something more sane in the stable. ;)

Or to put it another way, I'm unclear how putting all the variants in a single box benefits anyone other than GW.

having studied the pictures on GW website, I'm tempted by the vengeance battery and firestorm redoubt. (gaming figures discount of course). You can swap the weapons about between the two, and it should be simple to magnetize the two vengeance turret options.

I think the new 40k stuff is nice, but the costs are way to high. I have been priced out of the game and as an adult, I think that is a very sad thing for the future gamers for this system.
The only "hobby" GW is interested in is lining their pockets with your money.

Something actually worth getting..
Half the price of the strong point, about twice the price of the aegis.,.. but twice as many quads (it has quad quads -well actually las to make it more borkens) and the model is a lot sexier than the aegis (which i have and is the balancer in most of my games)..
so yeah.. something that might be worth buying... still £40 but, yeah I reckon fairly reasonable given its flyerrape.

These models are fugly, though.
What's the plot on stuff like this use, re "normal" games, cause apoc is everything goes, fair enough, but if stuff like that "leaks out" of those rarified climes, they will be shitstorm redoubts.

Copy and paste is broken on my pc (wife touched it) but in link it says rules for playing in 40k are included in the box.
..
Going through phase of not likeing bloodfiend thing again..little arms no reach pointless axe..
But this is edition anti competitive addons everywhere cluster of documents everywhere 3rd/4th ed..Rest of the p;layer base (who've fled) have just got a little too much what they wished for..as comp player I don't like 2 codexs plus 2 addons plus rules from in a box plus apoc book plus blah blah blah for a 1500 pointer.. and use your imagination..but 2 years back I was minority in being a hard ass anti imagination freaknutt.

Oh and lol at this fully furnished 12x8 or whatever gaming board coming in a snip at £1200..gaming clubs in poshville I guess.

Got plenty of material with this Apoc release before I need to start whinging about a £40 emplacement :P

Actually I think I'd give it a 7 out of 10 for the model in that it's spoiled by being far too busy (but busy seems to be GW's schtick atm like the CSM characters that were released and the new terrible Masters of the SM), but it fits fairly well with the existing plastic kits.

I've seen this fallacy repeated many times over the last few weeks in response to criticisms of GW releases. If I'm stuck in the desert wishing for some water, it doesn't suddenly count as wish fulfilment if someone strolls along with a bucket of water then holds my head in it until I drown. There was more than one way GW could choose to disemminate additional rules etc to us.

I see no fallacy, people berate and nash teeth wanting to buy chapter approved books/compendiums and wanting chaos split..get their wishes.. moan about having to buy multiple books.. just because that isn't a tailor made snipe at you doesn't mean I'm not sniping at people.
I didn't want that, people I played didn't like imagination and mixing and p79 of an magazine says I'm better than you.. I never understood the clique that pushed for it,.
