Air Brush Paints

Postby KInG » Sat Feb 08, 2014 2:20 pm

I've found Vallejo Air to be the best airbrush paint. No mixing, just straight on with it...

Anyone know where I can get them nowadays? Googled without much success. :(

ive decided to try what was recommended on youtube, use Vallejo thinner with my existing Model Color from Vallejo. This way I can ensure I have the same colours.

I use Liquitex Airbrush Medium. It thins any paint to the consistency you need for airbrushing.

This link is for it in the US http://www.amazon.com/Liquitex-Professi ... B001US2NQA but I'm sure you can find it over there as well.

It works very, very well.

I use the same liquitex medium I find 1:1 of medium & thinner to whatever for VA. Tamiya acrylics are good for matte colours. Badger do a very good range called mintitre paint.

Can you get get Minitaire in the uk now? Nige it's a new paint range from Badger they are the first to bring candy colours to the miniture painting scene. I'd be tempted to use the candy red for my BA's if I could get hold of some. All you do is a monochomatic zenitial highlight then apply the candy colour. The more layers the darker the candy becomes but still retains the depth and shadows provided by the preshading.
What, no image sigs!

I bought mine through that link (though via there ebay shop) I didn't really enjoy the ghost tints never felt the finish was right but they are good.
