Cheep easy stripper!

One of my friends told me that fairy power spray

would work for cleaning up models for repainting. I tryed it for myself this weekend and it's excelent. spray it on and leave for 30 min then scrub with a tooth brush and it will remove pretty much anything including humbrol/airfix paint. i've given it a limited test on plastic but it didn't seem to have any ill effects. i've got a SM bike that i'll drop in later to do a full plastic test. and i'll let you know how that goes.

works fine on plastic too. I wouldn't leave it for much more than half an hour

I was expecting something a bit different myself.

So how expensive is that compared to Simple Green?

I'm with you on that!
Plus, I realize that words and brand names are very different between England and the US. I could only imagine the reaction I would get if I went into my local market asking for some... "cheap fairy stripper"!

Works fine on resin. I had to strip 10 terminators (resin pads and shields), a full bike squad and Commander Cullen when a can of army Painter Blue went bobbly on me.

One tip is to spray the figures, leave for a whille, then spray them again before scrubbing. The action of the spray opens the paint up so that the second coat strips it entirely.
Works just as well as Nitromors on metal but with the inconvenient disposal problems as it can just wash down the drain.
