Big load of text because I'll assume you have no idea what they mean.
Pinning is very easy (I am no herne, heck I'm not a ljundhammer when it comes to painting.. but I can pin, so you can too)
Basically you get a very precise drill (this
one, or if your rich and silly this
one) you drill a small hole into each piece that your joining.. you then when attaching your joins glue a perfectly fitting (because you choose the correct drill size) piece of paperclip (cheaper than chips).this provides a bit more load bearing to weak joins while it sets and it provides more bits and bobs of the glue to attach too and stuff. (mr6 and others will use multiple thin ones, rather than 1 big one, one model he has has 27 pin events)
With really big things (e.g. giant metal carnifexs , where your pose defies gravity you might need stronger bigger metal wire (I use 2 metres of copper wire I bought from maplins for a fiver ages back) and a handdrill. (although thats a much more brutal experience..the handy thing is that using this is that thats almost all you have to do to start magnetising weapons and creating hot swapable models (get much more for your money) the only extra step is glueing magnets in a larger hole where you would have put one end of a paperclip.
I use a handdrill very similar to
this by the way.
Here are some pinning guides
