Khymera painted but not based...

Postby Galador » Thu Apr 28, 2011 4:58 am

Let me know what you think!! I was going for a "just shed its skin" look with the semigloss varnish for a good raw meat sheen!!! This will be one of the last models that I put up before deployment, and probably the last thing that gets fully painted before then too!!!

Tomorrow, while I have the time, I finally got the wife's camera back from her and have uploaded the pics from my last three battles before deployment, and I will post up batreps!!!! The only thing that I ask on those, is please don't laugh at my unpainted army... I am in the middle of a 15,000 point color change, and this deployment just put a major kink in the timeline for it!  But I have about half of my army painted, but you will see alot of white undercoat on the board, but at least I can say that not all of it is mine!!!

I think that looks suitably disgusting (in a good way)!

Don't worry about non-painted armies :) I'm looking forward to the batreps.

Nicely done mate, I like it.

Don't worry about your unpainted army. See that kind of thing alot at clubs and hobby centers. And... 15,000 points is daaaaaang lot to have to re-paint..

Not dipped, King, as I didn't want the gloss too thick. It was just lightly brushed on as a final coat pretty much. That way it kept the gloss down, but at the same time gave it a decent sheen.

Looks very nice.
I like the semigloss vasnish finish on it.
Another painting technique blatently stolen!
Looking forward to the batreps too!
