Made it with one hand, one ankle, one eye and a piece of string that held them together
viewtopic.php?f=45&t=1428&p=41889#p48601
Now they just all need "finishing off" (anyone who says starting, or burning for that matter gets a thump)

Good work mate, you've managed to cross quite a few things off the list.

carnifex with twin devourers, 5 megabloks spore pods, 3 5th ed plastc raveners done.

Up next: either the 5th ed gargoyle box or the forgeworld capillary towers, although I'm tempted to make a mawloc.

Any votes?

Well I have already cleaned the release agent from them, so I'd better get the sprays out!

Pics or didn't happen, also how are you doing your spore pods.. like the dakka guy or just red with pink bits over the brains etc.. Ljundhammer managed to find me 5 in a dark back alley shop eventually.. but I'm tempted to just throw them to mr 6 with the rest to promote interest.(Mr6 appears to be hybernating no ones heard from him in 3 weeks)

Still a few weeks to go until the end of the quarter!

I think I'm going to fail with my list unless I get a move on...

Well I got a little bit done, nice weather meant getting outdoor work done (gardening, lawn, putting up the kid's pool, etc) plus constructing a new game table top, but I finally got around to working on my termies.
I have one 5-man squad (from the AoBR set) with stormbolters and power fists, 2 with cyclone MLs, and I had another 5 that were going to be set up with strombolters and power fists. I also wanted to try out assault terminators because playtesting showed them to be very effective, especially when coupled with a land raider. But I did't feel like shelling out another $50 (less discounts) for an assault terminator squad. My local bits store had lightning claws for $5 per pair so that would work out cheaper. But I still might want to field a full 10 man termiator squad. The solution? As Matt would say, it's obviously...magnets. So here's the 5 magnetized terminators set up with bolters and powerfists;

And here they are fitted out with lightning claws;

Now I have to get them painted up. Have a game scheduled for tonight, will have to see how they do in a real battle.

If your magnetising the cyclone.. that was the trickiest magnet thing I've done.. the piece is a fragile y and you need to be in the middle of it.. and the domed back of the termie needs to be the right angle drilled into and flush to awkward finish.
I think (although its done) I might go back to it and green stuff into it to make it a bit tidier now I mention it.
