Happy new year!

Well it was certainly a mixed bag for me last year. I started really well but faded at the end. Here are my tentative plans for this year (it's a year of mostly finishing off it seems!):

1. Get my fantasy orcs & goblins finished including anything for the new book due out this year
2. Buy the last couple of bits for my marines and finish them off
3. Make the effort to complete the necrons
4. Buy the last couple of bits for my daemons and finish them off
5. Finish the few odd bits of terrain kicking around
6. Buy the last couple of bits for my high elves and finish them off
7. Repaint and dip the vampire counts army I got last year
8. More planning and start putting together my WoC army

I think I'll have to be a little more dedicated and plan deadlines and painting sessions to get through it all.

For me, well the following projects are my plans (heaven help me)!

1: Carry on with SPACE:1959, I have pretty much all the figures I need now,
just got to actually assemble them and paint them. Except for the Dark Eldar that I intend to morph into Cybermen.

2: 6mm ACW, more painting, again got the figs just a case of putting in the
time slaving over the painting table.

3: 6mm Napoleonics, again painting what I have and terrain building with
these.

4: Finish Space Marine Army I have been owrking on for years! And get bigger dent in Eldar forces.

5: Avoid ECW figures until I find a rule set that I like

The only new project tempting me is an inkling to do a Crecy to Poitiers era
raiding forces, it will be at skirmish level using a set of mashed up SP
rules I have been tinkering with for years now.

For me 2011 is the Year of getting things done!

My primary effort is going to be to get my house the way i want it, new kitchen, redo living room etc.

However as far as the hobby is concerned this is it,

1. Come up with a 1500 Point list of SM i am happy to use and paint it to completion.
2. Model and paint all 3k of my High Elves (List is done)
3. Paint a full Tank and a full Infantry company of FOW British troops.

Additional extras depending on how i do.

4. Paint a further 1k of SM units to allow some swapping about.
5. Get into a build/paint a blood bowl team (already know the system from PC game which i am always playing)
6. Find a Marine unit that can kill Angarth in assault!!!!

I will keep you all updated.
Thanks Matt

Realistically, I want to get the 1st company of the Red Scorpions up and running, and be able to deploy them onto a decent gaming table (and finally get playing). Also hoping to pick up a small GK contingent when released and maybe some guard :)

1. Make a competitive DE list and get it painted up for any gaming weekends or tournetments I might wanna attend this year.
2. Make every model I own.
3. Make all the other models I bought while still trying to make all the models I own.
4. Then get cracking on painting my IG.

I have decided that I can't do another army unless I get rid of an exisiting one, and because I can't ecide which exisitng one to get rid of, I'm not going to... I'm keeping them. DA/BA/SM (all one really); CD (Khorne); IG and DE. They give me almost every playing style you could look for in an army.

Anyways. That's enough to aim for because all that has to fit in alongside finishing my house. En Suite is next, arrives 5th Jan, so should be able to get that done this month. I just hope it doesn't take me as long as Dan's bathroom ;)

Continue to paint and expand my Space wolves. Buy build paint and play my 1500pt IG army. The bulk is on order at GF so hopefully by next weekend I can make a start.

My plan for this year is:

1. Learn how to better use my new Air brush and compressor.
2. Finnish my current unpainted Blood Angels. 4 dreadnoughts, 3 drop pods, 2 Baal preds, devastator squad, scout squad and various character models.
3. Add to my Blood angels.
4. Start and finish painting my Tau Tiger Shark
5. Towards the middle of the year I'll get all excited about new Tau (bound to be more rumours by then). And that's when the procrastinating will really set in.
6. Put Bloods on hold and dust off my Tau for a re-make.

Honestly this is how I see the year going.

I'm hoping to actually get my Khador force finished.

Thats the big one, any dents in my orks and BA will be a nice extra.

Another 3 is either dedication to the cause or plain insanity!

That's what the wife said - pretty much. Although, because I bought A1 size foamboard for the structure, I was able to cut out the main parts (body, wings, tail, canards) from a single sheet rather than having to layer them up. What took a few days for the first one took a few hours to do these three. :)

Finish what I've got ahead of me (40 IG infantry), 1 Valkyrie (will finish my IG army), 1 ork trukk (for the model cabinet, joining the Skyray and Monolith), hopefully my dreadknight from Maelstrom might turn up before christmas so that I can add it to the list (will finish my GK). I won't be starting any more 40k armies, the 4 I have will do me.
I won't be selling any that I've made, either. I may stop playing 40k, but the minis can ALWAYS be used in other games somehow (this is how it always has been. Using one company's models for only their game seems a little straitjacketed).
Finish painting my tabletop board (urban will have a street layout with intersections, crossings and line markings.).
Get some more infinity stuff done and play a few games with it.
