Then sir, you are obviously insane.
Looking at pictures with reading glasses is about the same as walking into a telephone box with ski's on. 8O

Love all the nids Angelwing. The patriarch looks especially good.

When do we get a shot of the whole army then? :)

Cheers!
There are full army sots in my gallery now. However, the army has expanded by 3k since then. I was going to wait for the second wave releases before a new pic, but I said that a year and a half ago and no second wave...
It's quite a job to get them all out and put them all back in the cases, so it's not something done lightly. I'm near the 17k mark now...

Finished up 12 spore mines that came as part of an ebay rescue. Figured they were not worth putting back on, so painted them instead.
edit: forgot to add the trygon tunnel markers i made. They are made from plasticard with a cheap print out glued on top. I put the images through photoshop to match the colours to my terrain.Image

Pyrovores. The front two are the new ones, the one in the back has been repainted slightly to match. The last two metal pyrovores from the gaming figures shop have been named appropriately. In their first game the podded in next to a unit of beserkers lead by kharn. They flamed 5, then held a unit of possessed marines in combat for a few turns, one even causing a wound with it's pseudo power weapon. The pod dragged a csm to his doom with the ripper tentacles. Kharns unit decided to charge the spore pod, but due to the lash whips I went first, hit 3 times, wounded 3 times killing the champion, plasma pistol guy and final beserker! Sadly Kharn chopped up the pod.

Defeat must be accepted.

I have managed to get the last 10 furies based, but morale finally entirely collapsed, when cleaning the wing sockets which were gummed up with some rotten glue and blu-tac.
Yes, blu-tac.
Blu-tac?

Yes, fogging stuff had combined with what seemed like some kind of horrible epoxy crap that took forever to dislodge.

Progress on the defiler body is agonisingly slow.
When I turn the revolting thing around, I keep getting lost in all those legarms.

Still, its under/based coated, dry brushed and washed (blue all done) and the mechanical parts are gun-metalled, just need washing and tidying up.

Then the joy of the brass decorative banding will begin ...
Then the turret ...
Then the other two ...
Then the rest of the full to the top 'o the box stuff ...

Doleful-eyed cat from shrek look.

Continued yes but not complete.

So with the Mantic KoW invitational coming up in February that's now my deadline for completing the undead.

1. finish off the gargoyle and 5 gaunt ebay rescue models
2. buy some more spray varnish!
3. continue with the terrain building
4. paint the grey knight brotherhood champion.
5. Continue with my art / photo's

1. completed
2. bought
3. continued but not finished yet
4. completed
5. Headphone shoot done and work completed, new shoot done last night, work to be done within a couple of weeks.

so overall all completed and more tyranids painted than listed. Not bad!
