Hello Chaps
Greetings from a cold and miserable guard room in Paddock Wood. :-(
Thought I would quickly post a pick of the sarcophagus, (I looked up the spelling this time), I said I had for the ruined cathedral I'm going to build.

I got it from Orks Nest in London. Near to Forbidden Planet in Shaftesbury Avenue. Can't recall the make. Might have had P-65 on it in big lettering??

Agreed, the weathering really sets off the excellent paint job!

More terrain. The buildings are repainted. The original paint job was done over 15 years ago and they had become very tatty. They've been redone to fit in with the new table and given a base to improve durability.

Thanks guys. The weathering is quit simple really. Using a large (tank) brush, I just wipe as much paint of as I can, then stiple and use a kind of dry brush technique, just not removing so much of the paint. Colours are Scorched brown > Gravyard Earth > Bleached Bone.

Nice terrain Angelwing. It works well if you can paint up a load of buildings all together.

okay. We have: A basilica, Shrine of the aquila, sanctum imperialis and manufactorum. I've done a few pics with models so you get an idea of how large the bases are.

Photos are a bit shoddy, but you get the idea.

Neither the photos nor the models are in the least bit shoddy!

All in all, very nicely done.

I need to re-do some of my ruins and will be shamelessly stealing some of the ideas and techniques I see here.

I hope you'll approve?

You are making me want to repaint my ones now! Really lovely ruins Angelwing - I love the broken aquilla on the floor.
