I've got some shots of all my marines on the phone from a while back. I'll try and find them.

Built a Jagdpanther paper tank today, converted from a 1/100 scale design to 1/87: blog/Spack/paper_tanks__jagdpanther_b-109.html

I've done army shoots of all my forces before. The tyranids and guard need updating though.

Nice tanks Spack!

Kind like GW's Armies on Parade? Still that would be cool. Although I would imagine building a diorama for 20k points of nids would take some doing, lol.

To Spack Loving the progress bud. The paper tanks are a nice touch. If they are that detailed, would you not be able to switch the paper to plasticard? Make them more durable like your plans for the train.

Might be able to, although I'm beginning to think that card is the way to go. You'd already suggested it in the blog on the train, and someone else on another forum has suggested soaking the card prototypes in glue so they become more robust and wouldn't need building in plastic. Making them out of card would certainly be easier.

With the Tiger II I gave it an undercoat of Halfords primer and it's turned pretty rigid, so it might just be a case of building up thin coats of primer to reinforce them and then paint them normally.

When I got my first figures when I was 14, I couldn't afford GW tanks aswell. So I made card ones. I used enamel paints (I'd been building airfix before 40k). The thicker enamel soaked into the card and really made it quit tough. A friend of mine was fairly convinced it was a bought plastic kit.

Well my nids 'diorama' will be my empty gaming table as there will be no room for anything else. Not long now until I do the shoot. Probably next thursday.

Rubble piles and a gothic ruin that can be split into 3 smaller ruins.
