Howdy folks. With Matts permission, I'm kicking off the 2012 Quarter 2 Project Log For Everyone. So feel free to post your projects, plans, wip's and finished pieces here.

Project Leon is comming on nicely now. He's a little over 3 months and growing fast. And he's already eyeing up my figures. So definately think he'll be another one for the hobby



As far as models go.. I've completed the first 5 figures of another Tactical squad.



For the remainder of the 2nd quarter.

1) Finish the Tac Squad.
2) Build/Paint a Rhino for the Tac Squad.
3) Build/Paint a 10 man Assault Squad.... maybe..

Both projects came out great!

I really like the bases on the tac squad. Will you be staying with that for the rest of the army?

If you notice I've done these style bases on all the figures I've done over the last 2 years. The only ones I haven't done the stone slab effect on, are the models from my 10+ year old force that I've been updating. On those I am just re-painting the bases to match the colours.

Okay!

Had a bit of a painting spree in the week and got 2x plague marine plasguns, a champ, typhus and a guo done!
Put the first red gore on Stargods greater daemon/daemon prince this morning (after 3 previous aborted attempts at assembling the bloody thing).

Death from the skies!


The torso has a pin, so it's easier to store, and the weapon arms are magnetic. The weapon arms can be shared with my metal walking 4th ed tyrant, so I now have a full weapon set to choose from.

edit* I'd better add that in his first game he got completely trampled by eldrad, a warlock and 10 wraithguard in combat, despite 4 warriors with rending claws and 4 ripper bases piling in to help. I got the charge too!

This quarter I need to:

1. Finish painting DKH: Dead Rising
2. Put together and paint DKH: Green Menance
3. Assemble all my Mantic Orcs
4. Paint my krudger on slasher
4. Paint some Ultramarine bits

Bonus stuff might creep in too

List for this quarter:
Finish the current tyranid backlog of:
flyrant (done!)
2 tervigons
2 tyrannofexes
3 4th ed metal ravenors
space hulk genestealers

This quarter I will make the effort to actually finish painting at least one squad of Fire Wariors. I have about 5 started and in various states of completion.
With these I will do one devilfish, one battle suit, one Hammerhead and one Pirhana.
SO watch this space as they say.........................

You know, possibly for the first time ever, I don't really "need" to get stuff done.
Whatever I get sorted now, will be just icing on the cake, how odd.

God, I hope not!
Still, considering I'm not really "trying" at the mo, I'm doing ok!

After the 2 plasma and champ plague marines, came typhus and a guo.
Then, I got Stargods flying daemon prince and abbadon sorted.

Last couple of days have seen the last two furies (finally) assembled and sprayed.
Today, I went back to a partly done pair of plague chimeras and they might be done by tomorrow.
