Cheers :) almost got those guys finished now, but took a slight detour to work on a pair of epic Warhounds so that I can work out the details for this months comp entry.

Our Titan Legion is going to be split into three parts. Each of our marine chapters has elements attached to it - probably a pair of warhounds and a reaver. The main legion will consist of the rest of our engines - a pair of Reaver Battle Groups, a number of warlords, and a few packs of warhounds - with the centre piece being the Imperator Titan. The colour scheme has a couple of 'accent areas' put aside to mark the titan as either Legion, or attached to a Marine Chapter.

Where's the lead?

In this case, the Electric Blue denotes the warhounds as being assigned to my Marines (who are painted to be used as either Red Scorpions, Smurfs or Pre Heresy Worl Eaters-ish). Lis's Marines will have a purple accent (her own chapter, or Pre Heresy Emperors Children), whilst I think the Legion itself will have a pastel green accent.

Next up will be the Imperator, along with a few more warhounds I think.

Here is a WIP of the building that I was meant to enter into the Anything Goes Comp but didn't even get chance to finish due to real life getting in the way. :(
Hopefully I will get to finish it off in slow time now and post up the finish article in one of the project logs.

Tyranid warriors - the recut sprue versions with spine fists, rending claws and a barbed strangler.
tyranid primes - one with talons and lash whip + bone sword combo, the other with rending claws and deathspitter. both have toxin sacs and adrenal glands.

Nice work again Angel. How many points do you have now?

RoJ, that looks really good so far. Looking forward to seeing some colour on it.

How many points of tyranids? Not counting the new release stuff that i've been painting, its 20+. I'm not entirely sure as the points have changed slightly in the new codex, and the forgeworld stuff I don't know about as I don't have any of the books with the up to date rules.

tyranid spore mines from the harpy / crone kit. Painted quickly and simply as a) I own rather a lot of spore mines and b) more often than not they won't get placed on the table as they blow up!

tyranid Harpy, main weapons interchangeable.

Also noticed I'd forgotten to paint the teeth on those tyranid warriors, so I've done those too.

Looks good mate. Have to ask though... Do you never get bored of painting to same colours/models so much? I can only do so much on a particular project before I hate the sight of them, lol.

yes, I do. I've really had to push myself to get the new release stuff done. I'm glad in a way that all the releases have been of small unit sizes / individual models, so the painting seems to go quicker.
I'm very glad to get the crone out of the way. Its varnish has just finished drying, so I can underline that.
next up are 6 ebay rescue tyranid warriors. Quite frankly these have been mauled. Mold lines, sprue clipping etc underneath thick paint, broken legs and arms etc. I'm using the spare arms and and bits from the new recut warrior sprues to get them back to gaming standard. I had considered just chucking them, but then I got all these new bits, so I thought I'd try to put them back together. I've done all the drilling out of sockets and I'm halfway through cleaning mold lines / re assembly.
Thats it for the tyranids after these warriors are done, until the next new release. On to something different, maybe finally getting those plastic tree terrain put together...
