The rules say that if the walker has a base measure as you would for an infantry model. If not, like a Chaos Defilier, measure to and from the hull including the legs as normal for vehicles.
How would you work it out if the legs of the SG went out past the edges of the cd base?
Not trying to nitpick, just curious! :D

Probably choose one method, confirm with opponent and stick to it. Not sure what tournament play would involve though. Again - a ruling from the tourney organiser - or just ask opponent before play probably.

Once it's on a base I'll use the base for everything. And I don't play tournaments so that's not a problem! :D

The 2nd SG is assembled and tomorrow I'll tidy up some mould lines and patch some minor areas with GS.

I want to paint my BL in the original colours from the Slaves to Darkness book. Like this:

I hope to make a start tonight.

I forgot I hadn't sanded the bases! Did that last night (PVA + sand) and just applied a wash of diluted PVA as a sealer.

We are going to brave the cold and go for another walk in a bit (Chichester Marina today) so these should be dry when we get back. The Chaos black spray cans are inside warming up ready for undercoating.

Got them undercoated last night. Louise decided she wanted to watch all the LotR films again though so I might get distracted with those in the evenings this week instead of painting!

Looking fwd to seeing it after the swim. The veining and recesses on the wings should take the dip really well.

Once it's dry tomorrow evening I'll apply any highlights and detail touch up required and do the base.
