Only if it has a rotating part and house rule allowing it to be immobilised :)

I got it! A Laser/lighthouse! :twisted:
360 degree field of fire and ergo LOS, and 2 cranes with wrecking balls on each side equals 2 CCW!
Great ideas! :wink:
{Bela Lugosi voice,} "Come Igor, back to the lab-or-atory! We must make the creature more deadly!"

"That is the risk we must take Igor! Worry not, there is only a 16.33% chance the building will fly into a frenzy!" 8)

Okay, a bit of an update and summary of work so far. Lots of pics, but all done in thumbnails, apologies if it slows anyone down. Here goes.
My problem is space. Not outer space, have no problem with that, but with a wife and 2 kids, my "toys" come 3rd or 4th! So I needed a way to have a gaming table that; 1-Didn't take up a lot of space when stored, 2-Was quick and east to set up and take down, 3-Wasn't overly expensive.
I started with some homemade boards, about 2" thick, foam with wood sides landscaped with a ton of painted sand. They were heavy, tough to store, and not particularly fun to game on. I was in the local hobby center one day, and they had rolls of bachman grass (flock glued onto paper) size 50" X 100" on sale fo $16. So I grabbed a roll, hit the local home center, got 3 2'X4' pieces of 3/8" thick hardboard, and a 4'X8' sheet of foil backed foam. total cost $28. Took it home and started construction.
Sorry! Enough talk. Here's 2 folding tables that we use for holidays, the basis of the game table. Take up little room when folded;
Image
The 2'X4' board sections nest together nicely;
Image
When the tables are set up, the three game board sections look kind of lost;
Image
I put velcro tabs on the board backs. It helps 2 ways, 1-to hold them together when stored;
Image
2-to hold them together when laid out for gaming;
Image
There's pleanty of room to lay out terrain pieces;
Image
A model's eye vies can show the cover possibilities;
Image
This is part of a ruined city with a landing pad protected by bunkers visible in the background;
Image
And here your units would be slowed down going over marshy ground in order to assault units on the rocky outcrop;
Image
The real beauty of the table is that it can be set up and taken down in about 10 minutes. Now I just have to finish a few more touches on the terrain pieces.
Have a new player coming over Monday night, we are going to play a little Kill-team, marines vs. necrons. I'll remember to take a few pics of the battle and post a report (along with any table updates). Again, hope it's not too many photos in one post, hope you like it so far. C&C welcome!

I once saw a table that was suspended from the cieling joists that could be winched down onto fold-away tables. :)
It even had wallpaper on the underside, iirc!

I dated a girl once who had a bed like that, but that is completly off topic! :wink: (Thoughtful pause, good times, good times! 8) )
That sounds like a cool idea, the drop down game board. The one I made is a bit more portable and the ceiling in my basement is only 7' to begin with!
Rainy day today so I might be able to get a few more things done.
