We weren't very happy with the terrain layout WLH moved it all to a corner worked out 25% then we took turns placing them.(so if you think it looks odd its because we were trying tactics pre game
)
Mission was bases/the draw game escalation night fighting- or (Capture and control +dawn of war)
My turn1
I started with an assualt squad on but kept them babysitting near the back.
My turn one I move everything on (bar the speeder who I announce is deepstriking) difficult terrain +run moves get my dev squads into position and scouts to back up devs and sit on my objective.
I form up my wodge of bubble in the middle behind a wood. MM attack bikes zoom to cover right flank in case he goes in an unexpected direction.
His turn 1
Everything rolls on inc speeders etc.I believe (?) he was a bit surprised by dawn of war meaning nightfighting.(If correct this took alot of alpha away from his
LR and typhoons) his long fangs get into position.(sat on terrain piece with objective)
My turn 2
Tornado lands and fails to hurt the landraider. Squads stay where they are+ hurt the long fangs with the devs. MM attack bikes zoom back across the board to respond to where his army actually turned up.
His turn 2
Pops landspeeder threat with exterme prejudice, kills one attack bike a few shots ping off some of my blob of assualt stuff (frags from missiles kill a good few due to my wodging)
My turn 3
In for a penny in for a pound my assualt marines jump the central wooded bit (but try to stay just out of landraider assualt range). MM attack bike moves right up to the edge of the crater of smouldering speeder (handy way to use distance) fail to pop landraider (oh noes!!!!)...oh hang on mr librarian steps up and bloodlances the crap out of it (wrecked)
His turn 4
his wrecked crew move forwards, and the 2 other wulf squads disembark to join them.
And there is going to be a one helluva fight!!!
Combat goes on and on, one wulf squad beaten runs backwards (later shot off the table with devs before they can regroup), The far side multicharge into the long fangs goes well.
another steps forwards and scares the victorious assualt marines into running, he tries to chase they engage their turbo super running away to regroup and
then start running back into the wolves..

I shoot at the chasing squad and then charge them with the newly regrouped turbo consolidating bloodangel wroth
Combat carries on at the top, preiest and 1 gribbly remaining, my priest and his chaplin just can't hit..But being there is enough for that squad in the back ground to carry on running.
WLH moves his speeder forwards to try to take out my scouts (who go to ground+cloaks +4+ cover for a 2+ and everything pings off)
Combat won by him (dagnabbit) he consolidates towards his base
On the left my assualt marines catch up to his only other viable squad and smack it hard.
They then consolidate closer.
My back squad shoot the crap out of those 2 guys, but its hard he's moving his skimmer around to block
LOS, so only 1 unit can ever see them at any one time, the others take out remnants of his army (and immobilse the speeder)
Some kids roll the dice for end games for us, and they roll high.. game makes it to turn 7.
I have 2 objectives. to none..although could have been a draw at several points (phew)
He has 1 immobilised rhino and immobile speeder. I have full 3 dev squads +scout and a brave remnant assault squad (inc priest waving the flag)
