Now that all the big forum challenges are done I'll get back to updating this blog once more.

I've jumped ahead for next months painting challenge and finished before the end of this month..... Ops!

I've done this with a total repaint of Aun'Shi as the last paint job was just a touch up of his original 10yr old scheme.

I've also done a little bit more work on Aun'Va and his sidekicks, just to make sure I've got no HQ models left to paint...... Honestly I didn't plan this I just got lost in my thought and before I realised what was going on I'd finished!

This next picture is what I plan on getting painted up next I'm not sure how long it'll take but it marks the end of (almost) all of my assembled Tau units!

Image

Things that are left after this are two drone squads one marker the other shield and they are both short a few bits I need to order first and then I have 2-4 Fire warrior squads left to build up and some random FW goodies like a drone tower and some Air caste pilots. I wonder if I can get it all finished before the BA release hits (in November is it)?

P.s. It's not all bad for next month comp there is one lonely Ethereal in that pile of stuff. 8)

Thanks Anagelwing. Now that the summer comp is over I can post up some close ups of the individual unit members.

I'll start off with a group shot then go down with individual shots of each member.

Image

Farsight him self.

Image
Image

My personal Favourite Commander Brightsword.

Image
Image

Sub-commander Torchstar.... I can't believe I didn't notice that the flamer on the left arm had twisted before taking and or posting up the image! It's ok all weapons in this team are magnetised it's just annoying I didn't catch it sooner!

Image
Image

Next up is Shas'O Sha'vastos I enjoyed modelling the vectored retro-thrusters on his jet pack, but I feel I could have gotten a better finish with a bit more care.

Image
Image

Shas'O Arra'kon has a little bit to much weaponry for my liking. He is quit imposing to look at though and breaks up the squads silhouette quite nicely.

Image
Image

I wish I'd read Ob'lotai 9-0 bio before I'd glued him up as I'd not realised he was the AI controlled suit until it was to late! I had planned on a fully converted helm to make him look a bit more robot, but never mind.

Image
Image

Last but not least the big fella him self O'Vesa.

Image
Image
Image

The missing member is Bravestorm. Before I do him I need to buy a box of Crisis suits I use one for him then the other as Empire commanders. I've got to get the rest of my models done before I buy more though.....

These are really nice. Do you have a lighter background you could put them against for photos so they don't blend in so much?

They really are all top notch DL.

But I agree with Spack that taking the picture against a lighter background would show them off much better.

I know I'm just to lazy to adjust my camera settings for new background set up, lol. I'll see about doing next week when I have a bit more space on my modeling table. It currently full of Kroot!

Cheers guys I'm thinking of going back in November to defend my title.... a list change will definitely be needed as I can imagine people will be tooling up to deal with my current list. Life might get in the way though as I've a lot on that time of year.
