I've not got a stormsurge (big walker) yet but after reading the rules for it I will be getting one for my army if not for Christmas, sooner. A single markerlight hit making a ST8 missile become a destroyer weapon, YES PLEASE!

Good stuff with the tau. Looking forward to the big suits being finished.

hi darklighter

make sure you take lots of pathfinders cos those destroyer missiles might be Str D but they are still hitting at basic BS so you need more marker lights to make the most of them :)

I've got 4-5 full squads of Pathfinders and 24+ Marker drone painted, I think that'll be enough.... For now! I'm yet to make a list yet with the new codex, but two squads of 6 pathfinders usually make their way into my lists.

i stopped taking Pathfinders for a while cos i often found that i had way to many markerlights to use on any one unit. nut now i can happily use 5 for one destroyer missile........... bet i still roll a 1 to hit mind you lol.

Finally I have some real progress to report!

I love how this guy came out!
Image

I did got for a standard suit colour spread in the end for my Ghostkeel and I think it looks far better for it.
Image

These guys look much better on a bigger base I'm now going to have to go back and redo their sister squad!
Image

This Piranha is going to be my new squadron leader... I'm still one short of a full squad though!
Image

I love painting Tau troops! I must get hold of some breacher teams as the new kits are awesome good for achieving individuality.

I'm working on Big Shas next and I'm not sure what to ask for for valentines day be it a tidewall or a new commander suit...

I have the hobby fever at the moment so I'm running with it! I got this guy as a valentines gift this year and it's taken no time at all to put him together and get him painted. I'd originally had some grand plan of a superman like flying pose. Once I had him built ready to pose I quickly realised it wasn't going to work as imagined. The end result is a compromised action pose... I didn't like it at first but it's come to grow on me.

I've already started work on my next project involving four very naughty assassins!

Cheers Angelwing I need to buy more Tau now before I add more to this blog. The assassins are coming along fast but I'm not sure how long I can keep up the pace with time restraints. I should be able to post at least one of them up in a day or two.

I did mean to post up the first assassin I finished but I've now got 3 out of 4 done so I'm just going to wait for a group shot... I have a little bit of eye strain today though!

This is by no means my full army but is my list for an up coming tournament. I'm going to take some more pictures in the morning so I can get a bit more light on the models so I'll ad another update once I have them ready to post.
