Elvis's Angelic Host

Postby conscriptboris » Mon Apr 26, 2010 10:12 pm

Hi all,

As my time is about to become very restricted, I will be able to, on the odd weekend get some modelling done. As a 12yr BA player, now with the release of the New dex I want to ensure I get my models done to a high standard so im pulling out all the stops!

I also hope to learn from others as I go along, so without further a due, my first model:

I know the background is busy but ive already moved out of my hobby room, now baby room so my stuffs everywhere atm.

Im changing my Army to 'The Angelic host' as I wanted to paint other BA chapters but not have to create a new army, so as described in the fluff of the dex, the Angelic Host is when the chapters get together, this will be my army and im going to be doing it in an ordered fashion...hopefully!

PS Matts log has finally got me to make my own. This will be spread over a long time.

Good start mate. Glad my smurf blog was good for something!

Actually, I've found that keeping a blog of everything keeps the momentum going as I feel guilty if I've not posted anything for a while.
A daylight lamp might help you take better pictures and getting a little closer (macro mode) would be good too. Then we can see better and help with C&C.

What's up next?

Im in the process of painting my Vanguard under the guise of Angels Sanguine (The Half Red/Half Black)

My Current thinking is:

HQ: Blood Angels (unless stated otherwise ie Seth)

Elites: Blood Angels & Angels Encarmine (White Sanguinary Guard).

Troops: Blood Angels & Flesh Tearers (Black and Red).

Fast Attack: Lamenters (Very different paint scheme) & Angels Sanguine (split Red and Black)

Heavy Support: Knights of Blood (Red and Silver)

This is the idea!

I know some people hate Vanguard, however my recent list phased out Necrons my turn on T4, Storm Raven with DC + Pwr Wpns & Loc, DC dread with Talons, Drop pod & Loc. This gave the vanguard two locations on which to DS within 6" and assualt, they were JP and all Lightening claws, also DC had Astroth, Re-Rolls everywhere!
