Looking nice KInG, I especially like the artillery bases.
Coming along nicely!

I like the tanks.

Are you painting them with proper colours and markings or are you approximating?

Poper colours I hope... I have already progressed from these images a little. What I have done to date is undercoated them black and then prayed them with their base colours, as supplied by FoW in their coloured sprays. I believe US base colour is Brown Violet (vajello 887). This is the tanks and transports I'm talking about.

The infantry, I am currently on with. So far jckets and trousers are done on most of them. Need to crack on with faces and webbing/belts etc. Then decide on a scheme to base them. Decals and finishing touches will be last.

Just looked at the vallejo site here and the 887 brown violet just doesn't look right.
US uniforms and equipment in WWII were olive drab, more like vallejo 889 or 922.
Might look okay in person though.
Looking forward to seeing them done.

Funnily enough, I was looking for that name I quoted, I thought it was Olive Drab. But it says here on the bottle Green Violet.

*goes off to check the spray tin*

Tin is from FoW range made by Army Painter andjust says US Armour.

I've used that Green Violet though to touch up slpashes and its the same colour. :|

Actually, it was the war in the Pacific we won alone. :D

In Europe, it was a combination of the US, Brits, Canadians, French, Poles, and various other nations that won the war! 8) But thanks for the accolades!

Cough*The Russians might have had something to do with it as well*cough

The Russians killed 2 German Soldiers for every German soldier killed by...pretty much everyone else combined.

Hitler forgot the first rule of warfare - don't get involved in an Asian land war!

PS nice Ronsons

Admittedly, it would be tough to do it then!
In any competition I play in, I always wish my opponent good luck and to do well on their way to a second place finish!
