Yeah, I got to agree with everyone.. That looks really, really good. Very nice work, love to see the finished board. AND would have loved to play a game on it!! haha!!

Great stuff.

How did you prep the road? I imagine you rolled it backwards to take some curve out but did you do anything else?

What did you use to glue it down?

The Bridge is indeed the Pegasus hobbies TECHNObridge, as mentioned earlier in the thread ;)

All I did with the road was look at the accompanying instructions on where to cut (using the supplied templates). I started off in one corner, worked out where to cut, took a Stanley knife and a metal ruler to it. I did this for the five different road sections required.
I then used a tub of PVA glue, and a brush to apply neat PVA to the bottom of the road surface. I also applied neat PVA to the area on which the road would sit.
I placed the road in position, tweaked the position slightly, wiped away the excess PVA on top and then stacked heavy books on top for 24 hours. Job done.

Did you only make up part of the bridge? The Pegasus box shots make it appear to have 2 spans plus 2 ends, yours only has 1 span though.

cheers mate. :)

i just rung them and they have them in stock - at first he said he was 90% certain he didnt have any, but when he checked he suprised himself by finding them. i need to make a £10 order to get free postage (otherwise it would cost £10 inc postage, so i may as well get £2 worth of something).

EDIT: i just rung them back to find how many they have in stock (i thought maybe i could get 2 to cover the free postage amount, or maybe pick one up for someone else as well), and spoke to a different guy. he said they didnt have any - i told i had just spoken to someone who had found them, so he checked, and still said they didnt have any, but could order them. WTF?
he asked how many i would want and i explained about the £10 order for free postage, and he said that wouldnt apply to scenery, just minis and paints (although IMO this is a "miniature" - a miniature bridge...).

so im an unhappy customer already and all i have done is spoken to them over the phone. so i wont be calling them back. :|

cheers anyway.

Terrascenic are actually a good online retailer.
I've bought a few things from them, and have had no problems so far.

Oh yeah phone number: Phone: [+44 (0) 7708648719]

Project update 26/06/2008

Some Forge World models arrived on Monday and I have been busy putting them together as best I can, a few people have expressed an interest in pictures so I have posted them below. I need to get down to Halfords and get some Grey primer for these.

I've also included a photo of one of the models I've painted to get some feedback on how it is looking so far.

First up is the Phaeton Pattern Landing Pad Class III. This has been a real bitch to assemble! Its extremely large but also expensive at 80GBP :/ (What was I thinking..) I used Araldite for the bonds as most of them are load bearing. I have used greenstuff to fill some of the games and sanded it down.

Next up is the Downed Valkyrie, I've used super glue on this one and a bit of green stuff to fill some of the gaps - just finished working on it so I need to file/sand the green stuff before undercoating. Quite pleased with this piece of scenery.

Here you can see a FW Pillbox, Fuel tank, underground entrance and missile silo. The Silo is without a doubt the best piece I've picked up so far, I cannot recommend this piece of scenery enough!

Here are the different flocks I have picked up to do the board with hills, hoping to crack on with this over the weekend..

Finally, a few photos of a UM Sergent, gives a sense of scale to the landing pad. How is this guy looking? (sixth model I've painted)

Only thing I have on the cards now is Arvus to sit on the pad.
