I'm not happy with the horns, they seem to appear, and are in real life, too smooth... they need ridges/grooves, but im scared to draw them on :( any ideas?

Problem is they are kind of bison like (pic included), and bison like (as a desing is meant to be rather smooth and regular) unlike the bloodletters who seem to have more of an antler effect (which you could or or detract from fairly easily).
(DON'T )-- after the tourny.could you score into it from route to tip to give it a grain and then paint into the growth patterns you'd made (Don't) I'm sure there must be a painter guy somewhere :)
Barely even lurking..

maybe something like tatoos or runes would look good on the horns? :?

p.s. do you have anything in writing from GW allowing you to use a non GW model for your centrepiece?

That's a damned good point!

Although it would be funny watching Nigel have a tantrum in the great hall if he is told he can't use it! Keep an eye on the Webcam everyone!

surely not...

it's got a GW base (not really), GW basing kit (not really, GW barbed wire whip, GW paints on it (not really- vajello).

So its quite a heavily customised GW product. :)

Sorry. Copy Pasted straight from the 40k throne of skulls pack: Page 4 - Painted Armies Section - bullet point 2

• We don’t allow the use of non-Citadel or non-Forgeworld
miniatures for this event and any found will be removed from play
by Referees.

This is the same for any event held in warhammer world, wether run by GW or not.

Even warhammer ancients? I bet they allow non-gw stuff...in fact they have to surely?

You'd still better have a back-up plan KInG.

True, true.
Nice to see that the GW tradition of saying one thing and then contradicting it with another lives true across the company and not just in the 40k rules.

If you have to use his blood thirster, just remember...

BEST ARMY AND USING
‘BOUGHT’ ARMIES
At every Tournament we give an award for the Best Army. This is
awarded to the force that, in the opinion of both a panel of judges and
the players, is the best in terms of painting and character.
We do want to make sure that the Best Army award goes to the player
who painted their entire army themselves. For this reason you’ll be
asked to indicate on the form that comes with this pack whether you
painted your forces yourself, or if you got someone else to do it for
you.
Judges may not select the player’s army for Best Army voting if a
player has declared that they did not personally paint their entire army.
We ask all of the contestants to remain honest in their declaration.
The way the Best Army award will be given works in two steps:
1. The Judges pick a few forces for the Best Army vote on the first
day.
2. You will all be invited to vote for the Best Army on the second day
of the Tournament. The most votes will win the player the trophy

The rest of your army looks very well painted, would be a shame for you to have to be out of the running because of 1 model.
Unless you actually painted his model of course. 8)

lol, trust me, the rest of my army won't be looking to winning any other awards other than the bloodiest general, and 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.

Maybe I have a chance at the most unsporting general, if there is such an award. ;)

Well its 1.30am nearly on Thursday night, and due to our earlier departure of Friday; straight from work, that's it for painting.

I haven't had time to photograph it all, but I'm taking my laptop, and hopefully my small force will allow for some quick games and maybe I can get a batrep up between games :) so U'll see them in action over the weekend.

I did get one image tho:

Image

That was the SG that got the attention, the others have way less colours on them and only just make the legal requirement. I suppose it makes it easier to see which one has 'Tounge', this one :)

Right, I'm off to bed, not even packed yet, that will be for the morning... gn all :D

As Tim says, that looks great KInG, especially the icon on the front. Good luck for the weekend.
