Email went out clarifying - there will be PS scenery to use, it was more for those who want to take their own bastions/aegis lines.

I'm hoping to be attacking anyway, esp with my list ;-)

Thats good.
just in case.. I dug these out

To buy
http://www.ziterdes.de/ziterdes/en/prod ... &subcatID=
http://www.ziterdes.de/ziterdes/en/prod ... ubcatID=95

To scratch build
http://www.warseer.com/forums/showpost. ... tcount=519
http://www.warseer.com/forums/showpost. ... count=426- This one gets my super vote of awesome.

Awesomest imo, but lacking a direct template
http://z11.invisionfree.com/Work_In_Pro ... topic=5389

Then there are a bunch of paper craft castles, and bunkers- e.g. hoipefully a google of 40k papercraft "strongpoint" (a chapter approved GW one, with a 2 inch of board raised firing platform- similar to early drop pod designs ) "Firebase" (bastionesque but no instructionsV vague) "Imperial outpost" ( a full 2 forts, bunker walls and gate - a mini fortress.).. these can be textured very easily by just copying onto the blueprints wall effects etc.

I say easily..I always get a grown up (/Mr6 to make stuff for me) and everyone else just buys it.

Cheers Toby. I've actually got the various card kits of the Firebase etc if I needed to throw something together, but those might be useful for scenery projects later in the year :) (TBH I'm going to pass if they're lending it out).

Got the sources for the Bolts of Change on last night. The model's bases are on the other side of the card, I cut a slit, pushed the tab through and superglued everything together.

Between 10" and 12" (I don't have a long enough ruler :( - but that's another problem :P)

Top crenelations added...

Need to put balcony on the small bits too (yay for lame LoS *shrugs*). For the death ray I was originally going to create a wood frame, but in retrospect I'll make it out of Vindi sprue.

:)
I'll rephrase... what's the plan for the base the tower is on? How will it look in the end?

It's basically going to be plain. I'm putting the Tzeentch symbol from the vehicle sprue in each of the 3 big spaces, and probably a couple of the helmets on spikes from the same sprue.

Since Tzeentch is the god of change, maybe you could glue down some holographic cardstock if you can find it.
Something like this...

You could then put the Tzeentch symbols on the holographs. Probably be very striking looking on the tabletop. Keeps changing colors as you walk around it. Anyway, just a thought.

Neat idea, can't do it for the weekend though :(

Might revisit it as the disc is going to be plain (and probably black for now  ), with a view to just dropping lots of little patches around the disc.

In other news, Command Vindi has reached the appallingly minimum standard :)
