They really came out great.

Good choice of colors and just very well done in general.

all now painted with easy to get paint! which as much as i hate to say this, is GW paint... when compared to the mess they were when they were black and gold, im shocked with myself for not doing this the first time round

however

the JIMP (Juve Judge Impersonator) is staying black and gold, just to make it look like he got the outfit wrong

the cadets have just had minor changes made to them (still black though)

and the bikes and bikers are staying black and gold, simply because they're all pinned to their seats and it would be a nightmare getting everything re-covered

besides, traffic almost always has a different uniform =P

(im aware that in some of the pictures, the black wash looks heavy and uneven, but trust me, they dont look that way in person, its just my camera being a pain again)

Nice man. I'm very tempted to convert up a Dredd model and paint it up, I'm not sure what I'd use him as but with the new Inquisition dex coming out I'm sure I'll find a suitable unit/character for him.

Very nice. I really am tempted to get my JD figs out and paint a few, but with my current workload won't get chance until the new year.

Darklighter, Adeptus Arbites fit well, which should be in the Adeptus Soriritas list (not checked it yet though).

word to the wiser than me, pick your preferred colour scheme BEFORE you start painting mass amounts of judges

i went with black and gold because i had fancy ass gold paint (vallejo liquid gold) but due to a knackered seal on the bottle, it dried out with no hope of fixing it (believe me, ive tried)

if i'd thought ahead to the number of judges i had to do, i would have gone with the blue and yellow, simply because i could rely on the availability of paint (ie: available from more than a single place, and not for wallet busting amounts of money) should i need more

and lets be honest, compare the black and gold to the blue and yellow... theres no contest for the way they turned out

see?

my only challenge now is finding suitable colours for brit cit and east meg judges!

here is the latest recruit to the justice department! (sort of, he's kind of a veteran :P)

Judge Corpse! (real name pending)

Image

sadly he isnt free standing, simply because he hasnt got a leg to stand on! and he's head and shoulders above normal judges (the price i pay for basing him on a necron warrior)

he also lacks more detail than i thought when he was bare GS... the ruffles in his clothes dont show up nearly as well, even with a wash over them! (its shocking how much the belt helped the judges appearance!)

oh, he has two yellow pads because i cant make the eagle one to save my life (or his it seems!), so we'll say he was a tek judge!

but, he'll make a good objective marker (find the dead judge, have him pinned against a wall guarded by the dark judges and their minions?)

next up? more judges! more perps! more scenery! more apes! wait... apes?

Son of famed cook, Julia?

"I knew you were going to cook that!"

What do you think of the paints from Waugh games and do they stack up or compare to any other ranges you've used?
