So, I figured I might as well get back into posting on here.
Due to a secret santa, I got back into collecting miniatures in Christmas 2018. Was given a box of Cawdor, decided to pick up some Titanicus too. Picked up some intercessors to build a deathwatch kill team.
Then I found out that my local store was starting an escalation league last summer. I hopped in with Blood Angels, and went from fairly novice at 8th (having not really played since the start of 5th edition) to doing fairly well. Took up Custodes too in that time. Then Covid-19 hit and forced all games to stop.
As part of that, I started to binge on youtube videos about painting. Picked up a wet palette and an airbrush (before Covid) but started really trying out things with them after lockdown. With 9th, I've restarted the Blood Angels with a much darker and grittier look. Time to have somewhere to track my progress other than the odd shot I've put on instagram.
These are pre 9th painting. Lots of contrast paint uses.
