Whenever you see a rhino chasis that’s a vendetta as he still needs to finish gluing the bits together.
Mission4 the scouring objectives worth random amounts, fast attack can score and count as victory points.
Set up conventional 12”s in faceing.
He opts for me to go first.
TURN 1He’s set up with maximum bubble wrap and maximum spacing (taking a while) so I opt to put the flamers in my second half..So I have iconbearer, 2xscreamers,kairos,a
DP. I get the army half I want.
DS my plaguebearer onto the 4 value objective in front of his lines,
DS the others around him, without trying to get any breaths off (too risky)can’t use the icon, pass some dangerous terrain tests..use run moves to get amongsth/behind cover.
It’s a conventional false flank against a spread out army.
His turn, everything that can opens up fire, my stuff is mostly in cover, mostly has rerollable saves. He kills 2 plaguebearers t5 5+ rerollable then
FNP.He also kills 1 entire squad of screamers(he wasn’t aware what a big deal this was).
My turn 2. Everything passes reserves..all on.
I spend what must have been an infuriating time measuring from icon, then from daisy
DS placement to then weapon range and change my mind (bad habit of 6th ed).
Unfortunately his bubblewrap of spread out guard denial is still intact so I can’t get to the really juicy stuff..(I could if I went off the icon but DSing with a chance of failure?? Pah).
1 Flamer squad and the other demon prince thin out infantry platoon guard the standard leman russ and take 1 hull point off.
Flamer squad and kairos combined have failed to take out a chimera right beside them, and with everybody sat in perfect
DS formation if he’s still alive he could get as many as 11 flamers wounded by the heavy flameron the chimera.. it must DIEEE, kairos goes in with a smash attack and takes it out. Crew fall out the back.
Screamers multicharge infantry platoon and executioner..with 3 attacks base they can afford to lose 1 quarter, also it didn’t move.. so I ONLY allocate 9 autohitting str 5+2D6 hits to kill the tank, 6 go on the guardsmen, who die, but fail to wound me and pass a leadership test (AHHHh the safety of being locked with 3 guardsmen during guard shooting phase..sexweeee)

Horrors shoot for all their worth at the command chimera get 3 glances.. its enough.
Small plaguebearer squad who landed off start running for an objective near my woods
His Turn 2His flyers fly on (nyeeooww) and lascannon some stuff, kills 2 plaguebearers near the back(remember that one has troops on)
His squads climb onto the wrecks to take shots at me.. one
DP takes a wound, the horrors melt (apart from bolt of change guy).. closest squad of flamers get shot to pieces by everything (because he can’t see much else)..reducing them to 3 man (still deadly)
My turn 3, DP on right moves sideways on to his melta line flamer breath of chaos 1 left fails leadership runs off table before I can assault him.
3 Man flamers mount chimera ruin to take optimal shots at 2 men and tank.
Kairos takes out the battle tank after many many many glances.
Flamers and remaining horror take out new middle ground chimera..but it does take all their puff.
Left hand side Dp chomps on Special Commanding officer Maitland. 5 wounds from breath maitland takes them,followed by some other shots from something, leaving one guy up their to be assaulted and killed by hammer of wrath in
CC. (ohh monsterous creatures ignore danrgourous terrain through move through cover.. I’d thought that had been nerfed).
My 5 man screamers redeploy jetbike style 12+24, and us “slash” 5d3 str 4 take out most of an infantry squad I turbo’d over. And I’m now sat in the middle of remnants.
His turn 3, what can he do, his remnants try to take out troop choices in cover..do a lot of wounds on the screamers (we vaguely loose track and split the difference leaving me with one wounded 1left)

His vendetta carrying cargo slows to normal speeds to shoot more of my plaguebearers (my cultists can only hold one objective so it would be quite a coup if he could take out all 3..he doesn’t)
TURN 4 (in 6th ed styly its all over..he has 1 squad in a chimera, 3 tiny remnants,BUT he does still have 2 fully viable vendettas.
I spot my chance with his non zooming flyer(just off camera bottom left beside my rearline plaguemonks). Kairo uses trigonometertry biznitchs, moves as far as possible to keep his radius as wide around his men, whilst also being within 24”s of the vendetta,2s to hit,4s to glance(penetrates)4 on pen+ap1 explodes, 9 guys die 1 lives..He’s shot by the cultistst with the heavy stubber.(that’s his last chance gone)
Kairos eats plasma squad on the wreck, lone screamer takes out the eradicator tank with its 3 kind of melta bombs.Flamers and Kairos’s other shots take out the lone chimera (and pin its occupents) Dp on far right swoops to middle and join 3 flamers in killing of the dregs of 2 squads sat on the hilltop.
LH asks me why I haven’t stopped playing yet;
He has 1 fully viable vendetta, 1 pinned unit. He got first blood.He killed one of my fast attacks (1VP)
I have cultists and sorcerer unwounded on an objective(3).

LH refuses to face a screamer flamer heavy list again and now sees why the tourney scene is dominated by them.
Yes I rolled rubbish powers, yes I had no anti flyer, yes I got the half my army I wanted,yes I took 205point demon princes rather than the infinitly better 3 boxes more screamers.. but we were stunned by how one sided it was.
I wanna whip up a new army to mix things up a bit, draft something in 10 minutes create the unbeatable awesome?? thats my prerogative
