Space Wolves.

Postby Darklighter » Thu Mar 02, 2017 2:36 pm

Ok I've been quite but not unoccupied, my time has very much been filled. This commission has taken longer than it should of but has turned out fantastically. So much so I've already received another addition to paint up and there are plans to add another 2k points to this list very soon.

This is in part why progress took so long...

Now looking at that paint so close to bare plastic in colour was soul destroying!

I got better very fast once I hit them with more colours.

I really wish I could keep these!

Cool stuff. (except the santa sleigh and wolf riders because they are silly ideas in the first place...)

Next edition to the army is Bjorn.

I'm not sure when I'll be asked to add more to this army but I've been told there are plans for another 2k points including some Grey Knights... Could get interesting!

Shiney. I do like the new bjorn model. I still run the old metal one as a generic venerable dread now and again.

Yeah he's not bad, he has that solid classic look to him. The newer shield and axe guy looks far more bad ass though... They are both epic to paint mind. I've loved painting this army and it's all the sweeter that I'll get to play against it from time to time. I've started hammering my Blood Angels to get them fighting fit to join these on the field of battle as brothers in arms.

I'm sure they're not as bad as you think they are. Thank you for the comment... I'd share how easy they where to paint only I fear I may be asked to hand back some of my commission fee! I'm a little reluctant to post on FB as it just seems like a spam fest, but Forums these days are dead all over the interwebs. It's still nice to get a bit of feed back from the community at large though.

I have had a few more models to add to this commission I must admit I quite liked working on these.

It seems like forever since I finished a model... I know it hasn't been but I usually work at such a quick pace it just feels odd!

I have more for the Space Wolf commission army

Image

Image

... I say more I already how more units awaiting paint to add to these guys.

I can already see a marked improvement in my skills and the time to complete units for this army has almost halved as I have the scheme down that well now. There's also talk of adding more Grey knights... This will be a 10k point commission by the time I've finished I'm sure! It must mean I have a very happy client though.

always good to have a happy client. Good stuff!
The bare head on the dreadnought isn't to my taste. I'm not a fan of helmetless marines on the whole, but the dread with a bare head looks very odd.

It's a wulfen thing. I'm not sure a marine helm fits on them anymore.
