Current status of things is that my airbrushes and compressor have arived (thankyou DHL) along with the new portable studio, so hopefully things can start to get moving again. in theory im going to have some time on my hands as im staying with family dealing with some still on-going personal stuff (hopefully lis will be getting back to her SoB and Marines as well!)

Ive just tallied up where things are, so the state of play as things stand is this (handily coppied from the master excel spreadsheet)

Thunderhawk Table Top
Drop Pod Scratch Building

Commander Culln : Finished & Based
Master of the Chapter : To Assemble
Captain (PA) : Table Top - needs basing
Captain (PA) with JP : Painted - needs basing
Captain (PA) : To Assemble
Captain (PA) : In Progress
Chaplain with JP : Painted - needs basing
Chaplain (TA) : Ordered
Librarian (TA) : Ordered
5 Man Assault Term Sq TH/SS : In Progress
5 Man Assault Term Sq LC/LC : In Progress
5 Man Term Sq : In Progress
5 Man Term Sq : Ordered
Dreadnought : Table Top - needs basing
Dreadnought : Assembled
10 Man Tact Sq : In Progress
10 Man Tact Sq : In Progress
5 Man Scout(sn) Sq : Ordered
10 Man Asst Sq : Assembled
10 Man Asst Sq : Ordered
Land Raider : To Assemble
Land Raider : To Assemble
5 Man Dev Sq : Ordered

The plan is to work my way down through each section, trying to keep a variety of units on the go at once....

Fingers crossed....

You'll have to register here if you want to take a part in the tournament on the saturday (and do the lunch deal or evening pizza)

First minor update. The 1st of 2 Chaplains attached to the company - this one hangs out with the jump troops ;)

Also started on the strip and rebuild of 2 Ebay Landraiders. Will hopefully get a few hours in tomorrow too. Peace in the house for a change ;)

Nope... no varnish on anything yet.

The Chaplains helmet is built up in loads of layers from astronomican grey and black wash up to space wolves grey with a very fine white highlighted edge. Its a look Ive used throughout the marines, as tbh i dont like painting with pure white or pure black as base colors.

I think he looks excellent.

KInG - I think those are white studs round the helmet rather than points of reflecting light :)

Thanks guys - spot on Matt - they are indeed studs on the helmet.

Not the best pic, but been working on his m8 and a couple of other fellas. Excuse the poor interim pics, will take better ones when these guys are finished (and I set the light tent back up)

What kind of setup do you use for your light tent?
Is it home made or commercail?

Its a fairly basic bought kit.

Approx 2ft cube of fine white muslin that folds flat into a carry case along with a desktop tripod and 2 mains fed halogen lamps. It's quite handy for doing product / small scale photography projects but is ideal for painted miniatures.
